The Steele Dossier said as much and that was what, 5 or 6 years ago?

Trump is well known to have been a Russian asset going as far back as 1987:

—————— There are a lot of other key things not mentioned anywhere since this story keeps getting buried. Ivana’s father was a known informer for Czech intelligence (see: basically a subsidiary of the KGB).

Even moreso when you look at a brief timeline of events:

      • 1977: Trump marries Ivana; KGB file allegedly opened on Trump. • Autum 1986: Trump meets Yuri Dubinin; referred to KGB state travel agency. Source: The Art of the Deal • July 4, 1987: Trump visits Moscow and meets with Soviet leader Gorbachev. Trip paid for and organized by KGB travel agency. Stays in hotel physically connected to KGB travel agency (i.e., every part of that hotel was likely bugged). Alleged time of recruitment by KGB. Source. • July 1987: Trump registers as a Republican • September 1987: Trump’s first indication of interest in the Presidency via 3 full-page ads in the NY Times, Washington Post, and Boston Globe with language such as “America should stop paying to defend countries that can afford to defend themselves.” • December 1987: Trump and Gorbachev meet at a State Dinner at the White House • 1988: Gorbachev planned to meet Trump at Trump Tower. • February 1989: FBI Counterintelligence opens investigation into Trump and Ivana. This goes on for at least 2 years.

Everything above, besides the “allegedly” part, is fact with direct evidence. One final, more conspiracy theory-oriented thing: Ivana died from falling down stairs the day before the Trumps were to give depositions. They said she had “declining health” in the weeks prior, except she had gone out to a restaurant the day prior. The restaurant owner stated she appeared of normal health like anyone else. There’s a ton more stuff I’ve been putting together, but that’s the easy stuff that anyone can verify in 5 minutes or less. It’d be quite nice if there was some actual investigative journalist to put this together rather than just some random guy on Reddit (see: myself). Edit: Added sources, Gorbachev’s 1988 visit to Trump Tower, and Dec. 1987 meeting.

Source was on reddit, by kaptainkeel, he posted references to all the bullet points.

If they’re saying it out loud they’re certain and they consider it expedient to make it common knowledge.

Doesn’t anyone remember the veiled threat Putin publicly gave Trump when he took office again? It was something along the lines of Putin re-emphasizing who was truly in charge… as if he had some kind of blackmail on Trump.

Maybe they should try looking a bit closer to home with that they were rescued from bankruptcy by Russian oligarch donations and one of their favoured sons awarded a position in the House of Lords to the billionaire son of a former KGB director!

Possibility? Whether or not the fucking KGB really recruited Krasnov, the mofo is definitely a Russian asset.

Yeah, when the Krasnov thing first got published, I said something to the effect of, “I would skeptical of explosive, unverified claims like this because they may be disinformation, and either way there’s more than enough evidence that Putin has control of Trump.” Then someone accused me of being a Russian asset because everyone has brain poisoning now.

Even if there was none of the evidence (“Krasnov” codenames claim, etc) the fact that at every turn he does exactly what Putin and the Russian oligarchs want and is actively harming the US and other western countries means everyone needs to treat him like he’s a Russian asset. It almost doesn’t even matter if he officially is or not…

Yeah, the Krasnov stuff is somewhat funny in a dark way, but he definitely serves Russian good over US good, whether he’s an official asset or not. If his actions are treasonous, does it matter whether he’s been recruited?

The only question is whether he knows he’s a Russian asset. Trump may be working for them without realizing it. All Putin would have to do is convince him he was just giving him advice, one wise ruler to another, because Trump is special and brilliant, and provide a few incentives. Trump would believe that taking the advice was all his own brilliant idea.

I 100% agree, but what makes me scratch my noggin’ is the fact that people in London finance have (jokingly?) nicknamed the City of London as “Londongrad” because there’s so much Russian money. Makes it feel like the entire 1% is a Russian asset, which can’t be right.

This is so stupid. He is an asset, whether intentionally or not. Russian media is having a heyday with him. Whether he is an “agent” or not remains ambiguous, but he is absolutely an “asset” to them.

Assets don’t have to have be in on it intentionally. A tank is an asset. A forest at the border can be an asset. But to be an agent takes volition and consensual involvement.

Asset may be a bit strong. Theres every chance he’s simply in their pay for some issues/events and there’s nothing to stop him ignoring them when it suits him. I’d imagine he’s rinsing them for money and believing that he’s getting the best of the situation. America and the American people only pawns in trump’s latest scams.

If he’s getting played by Russia and he doesn’t know it, he is an asset but not an agent. We all know how retarded Trump is, I think it’s possible that he’s not a literal agent.

Honestly, why does it matter? Why not just focus on his policy and his actions? Trump is a fascist, oppressing liberties, defunding public services, and carrying out immensely harmful policy. Why the need to attribute that to a third country? Trump is only bad if he does these things because he’s a Russian asset? If he did this all because of his oligarch friends, and the desire for imperialism in the USA, and the increasingly openly right wing governments in all of the western world, it would still all be wrong.

There’s no need to summon le evil people from the east to objectively analyse the evil policy of Trump, and I don’t understand why you guys need a racist dogwhistle to do so when he is literally every single day walking alongside someone who did two fascist salutes in the inauguration.

I prefer my oligarchy representatives to at least pretend they care, but I am not about to carry water for the Democratic Party.

At a certain point the two sides of the same coin falls apart. That point for me is local elections with issues about homelessness. The conservatives campaign to eliminate homelessness by trying to drive them away. The progressives try to solve the actual problems and get people help.

Edit: I also would like mention election reform. Many of the blue states have been hard at work making sure everyone’s vote can be heard. Many of the red states are restricting voting so less voices can be heard.

So was Hitler. Thing is, natural law and positive law can diverge significantly, meaning ctitizens will sometimes have to organize against the products of positive law to preserve their decency and freedom.

Hitler never won absolute majority vote in an election, but I get your point.

I agree fundamentally with what you say even if I don’t believe in a natural law, that’s why I’m a socialist. So I suggest everyone to organise, to unionize their workplace, to build mutual aid structures in their local areas, and to join a revolutionary socialist party.

The USA could use a new electoral system with proportional representation and a new constitution with a weaker president and stronger checks and balances. The two party system needs to end. Laws surrounding political advertising and public financing of political parties should be introduced to get some money out of politics.

Replace common law with civil law to no longer depend on precedent so much. Finally introduce the metric system while you’re at it.
