Israel’s defense minister announced that the Hamas militant group has started a war against Israel and pledged that "Israel will win.”
Following a security cabinet meeting at the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned that Hamas “made a grave mistake” in launching barrages of rockets into southern and central Israel in its surprise morning attack.
In one of the most serious escalations in years between Israel and the militant group that rules Gaza, Hamas gunmen crossed the border fence at several places and infiltrated Israeli communities.
This isn’t just rocket attacks. There are technicals driving throughout streets shooting civilians, hostages and houses burnt down. Reports of hundreds of people ariving at hospitals. Over 500 reported injured and 20 dead so far.
Not military targets. Not government facilities. People’s homes and communities.
So innocent people like the Palestinians regularly murdered by Isreal soldiers?
Those are horrific as well, but it’s simply not true that the IDF roams around Palestinian villages murdering every Palestinian they find, and you know that.
For starters, if they did, there wouldn’t be very many left.
This childish need to see one side as unequivocally good and the other bad must be discarded or people find themselves cheering for citizens to murdered while waiting for the bus, and if you’ve gotten to that point, something has gone deeply wrong.

When they stop hurting themselves in their confusion and sabotaging the peace process, then maybe a peace will come. Right now, as it stands, they couldn’t care less for their own self determination, success, livelihood, existence etc. Nothing they do now will accomplish anything.

I am pretty sure to achieve peace both sides would have to stop sabotaging the peace process.
What exactly have the Palestinians brought to the peace process? What have they ever agreed to?
What are they obligated to agree to? If I kick in the door to your house, what right do I have to discuss which half belongs to me?
Israel should have to surrender all of their illegally-occupied land and at the very least retreat to the UN-approved 1947 borders.

The Saudis are abandoning the Palestinians and joining the Abraham accord. Hamas has condemned the people of that region to death. This is terrible.

Both sides are really shitty, unfortunately. Hamas isn’t Fatah - Hamas is a bunch of far-right theocratic loons who maintain an iron grip on the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. Israel has, since the 1980s, become increasingly right-wing and ethnonationalist, putting Palestinians under a regime that treats them as second-class, at best, and treating them as nuisances to be removed for Israeli settlements.
It’s clear from the footage coming out of southern Israel right now that the goal of Hamas is to simply kill as many Jews as possible. Either you stand with Israel right now or you stand with genocide. You can no longer claim ignorance of the crimes of Hamas if you associate yourself with the “#freepalestine” cause.
Critiscm of Israel and their treatment of Palestinians is not antisemitic. It is not supporting genocide. Take a look in the mirror.
