On numerous occasions in post-Soviet Russia, conservative politicians and the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) have called for anti-abortion measures and the return of traditional gender roles. However, medical experts have defended accessible abortions, and no health minister has previously argued that women should prioritize childbirth over education in order to raise the birthrate.

When they say traditional gender roles, they mean to enslave women. Fuck them conservatives.

Speaking of slavery, conscription of men to fight wars is another one of their “traditional gender roles”. If fact it seems to be the reason why they are restricting abortions.

Enslave women as birth machines and men as fodder for the meat grinder. Everyone loses.

Fuck putler and fuck his dumb fucking war.

Traditional gender roles guarantee a better natality. ( see amish, ultra ortodox jews, muslims ) , so progressive policies have no future in the long run due to demography issues. It is not an ideological analysis, but a tecnical one.

The idea that having lots of kids is a good thing is definitely ideological. You might not have noticed but we have a few billion too many people on this planet, not too few.

I’m not arguing if it is a good idea or not. I’m pointing the fact that high natality groups became majority in the long run and the majority dictate the policies.

That was certainly the case some of the time but if that was still true today you would expect groups like the Amish and Catholics to dominate populations while in reality they are very much in decline in terms of importance.

Amish is a group too far from society and catholics now have a very low tfr. On the other hand ultraortodox in israel and muslim in europe have a growing influence on society.

Yes, the only one that have power and influence in the world are usa progressives from silicon valley… A quite very local point of view from a nation that define herself like a world power

Hey, how about we completely reverse the gender role? Maybe we can keep men for child rearing. Pretty sure that works too.

You’re discussing this with an Italian fascist, so that’s never going to happen in their narrow little mind.

Seriously, I never understand how they care so much about births, but as soon as a child is born they stop caring about him/her. Then, they can go to hell.

Technical speaking, it is impossible. It is interesting that pointing an objective fact, i receive a lot of downvotes…

North Korea too, has better tfr than south korea…
