Sometimes I zone out and thinking about this stuff and it kind of overwhelmes me. It is fascinating and scary that we are just smarter monkeys everything about human existence and civilization I feel like no one knows what they are doing at the end we are just hairless monkeys on a dying planet that have to complete tasks that actually mean nothing in the great scheme of things.
Yet for some reason those tasks fill me with a ‘fullness.’ I just got back from working 6 volunteer hours unpaid and I feel very fulfilled. Feeling important and like you made an impression on the world is where it’s at, even though it’s definitely not going to matter at all in 100 years. The heat death of the universe will happen at some point and then it definitely won’t matter.
