    It baffles my mind that your comment has gotten 24 up-votes…

    First off, Diablo IV doesn’t support offline play…

    Second, if Valve only intended for the Steam Deck to support offline games, they wouldn’t have included wireless capabilities. In other words, I would understand your argument is Diablo IV was online only and the Steam Deck didn’t have wireless capabilities, but outside of that… you’re barking up the wrong tree.

    Third, Steam Deck verified is mostly about making sure the game meets certain hardware standards than anything else; however, there are some verification steps that are user experience focused because if the experience is shit, it might unfairly impact the ratings of the Steam Deck. For example, making sure a game has readable font / text when played on the Steam Deck in hand-held mode is very important considering the physical size / limitation of the screen.

    Finally, you can play Diablo IV while traveling, I do it all the time; you just need to setup / borrow / steal access to the internet at the same time.
