Not to mention Beeper claims to be open source, but it actually isn’t. That’s a HUGE red flag.
This could have changed of course, and anyone’s free to prove me wrong, in fact I’d be glad if someone did.
Because running a local Beeper instance over trusting them with your data is ALWAYS the best choice.

Why do you say it’s not open source? I’m using one of their bridges right now to send iMessage to my local matrix server.
Yeah, I’m confused why they’re saying that? Their Github is right here and you can setup your own instance with bridges just like you have.
