I’m a huge fan of Wicked. Visually this trailer looks great. The brief music I heard sounds great.

I don’t know Cynthia Erivo (playing Elphaba) well, but as a Tony Award winner I’m guessing she’ll do great.

I know a little bit about Ariana Grande (playing Glinda) and singing I know she can do, but I haven’t seen her act and her credits are more limited.

Although ultimately it’s going to come down to the chemistry between the two.

Additionally this film is being released in two parts which is awful. I really thought that idea died out years ago.

I hope this is good, but I’m fearful of a “Cats” situation, but even worse because it’s stretched out over a year and “Wicked” actually could be a good film (vs “Cats” which never would have worked.)
