Yeah - that intersection is super confusing.
I remember as a kid my dad did a similar thing. We were driving somewhere unfamiliar & had a couple different lights angled towards us. Dad saw the green one and almost go us all killed.
I wonder what the rates of a human making the same mistake would be? This also appears to be bad design, and the green light should be shielded better.
