Exactly 15 years ago, in August 2008, the Russian military entered into open conflict with Georgia. Moscow launched an offensive deep into the country before securing a favorable peace treaty and avoiding international isolation.
'Zone of Fear’ -Photo report on the territory bordering South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions
Why are they occupied? Regions just separated from Georgia in 90’th, like Kosovo
Mostly because there are troops under Russian command occupying the region.

Doesn’t that sound awfully familiar to you?

No
Same went down with Chechnya. But since 1.9% russian population was not enough to justify intervention there, some “terrorist attacks” helped.
How it is intervention, as it was part of Russia? It is the same as Texas will try to defederate
And the fact the breakaway regions prevented the circumvention of Russia as a gas supplier granting direct access to the Azerbaijani fields is just pure luck for Russia.
Have you seen maps? Anyway https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pipelines_in_Azerbaijan
You really delete my comments 🤨
I deleted one of them which was reported for Misinformation (Putin claiming that Georgia wanted to perform a genocide in the Regions occupied by Russia, which was wrong), with explanation and sources provided by the Reporter. If you feel that this was an unjustified decision you can send me a DM explaining why you think this decision was wrong, and provide sources to back this claim up.
