I have several somewhat niche interests and my favorite is Weezer shitposting. A community for it would be really coolz though I doubt who would post.

Acknowledge compliments and thank people for their work. Admittedly I’m not perfect in this, but it really makes me feel good and the other person too. If someone says I’m good at x I say thanks. Likewise, if someone helps me on a project I make sure to make my appreciation clear.
The subscribers list shows only subscribers from your instance I believe. Like for me, the lemmy.world meta community has less than a thousand subscribers, but that’s only because I’m on lemmy.ml. Can’t imagine those nutjobs have too many subscribers anyway, though.
So I’m actually an immigrant (Indian) but I came over super young so I guess it counts. WhatsApp with family, normal SMS for everything else. If I could, I would use Signal for everything but it’s kind of hard to get your massive Indian family to all switch from something they’ve used for a decade and a half.
Hmm, I’ve never heard the part where going against the universe creates unhappiness. Maybe I should read a bit more in depth. Thanks for the explanation.
Weezer - Pork and Beans is a really interesting snapshot of YouTube in the late 2000s; you see all the big people of the day doing trends of the day while singing with the members of Weezer. If that doesn’t sound awesome, I don’t know what is. Plus Hero by the same band is a really interesting pandemic video that is one of the few “artist tries to relate to normal people during lockdown” things which actually work.
If you couldn’t tell, Weezer is my favorite band.
This sounds a lot like absurdism, especially the “nothing matters so I can do whatever I want”.
r/NonCredibleDiplomacy and r/weezer. Two subs with insanely specific humor that I loved.
Weezer - Pork and Beans. As someone who wasn’t even alive during the era of YouTube when it came out, it is really mesmerizing seeing that day’s stars all in one place. Not to mention the actual video is super funny and well done. The ending scene is so cathartic. Plus the song itself is cathcy and has a nice message.

Breezy Weather isn’t on the Play Store or the main F-Droid repo. You could either use IzzyOnDroid (different F-Droid repo) or just use Obtainium to get the APKs straight from Github.
Breezy Weather has a great selection of widgets, some of them even Material You.
You could argue that the point is proved with this. Kids are not listening to adults’ advice. Kids just suck at listening in general.
Fallout: New Vegas
Normal mailman gets shot and robbed, embarks on quest for revenge, acidentaly changes politics of the area forever.
I’ve been waiting for this for so long. Everything about Infinity for Reddit happened to suit my tastes, so this will make using Lemmy so much easier. Thanks!
Lawnchair. It mimicks the Pixel launcher quite well, which is my favorite stock Android launcher, and is much better than default OneUI. To be honest, I dont care for phone customization as much as I used to, but Lawnchair just works. Not to mention its FOSS and has a great themed icon pack that covers every app I use daily except for the Lemmy app Liftoff.
The way I see it, we are fucked. With one exception, if we (the 99%) collaborate, we can help make this world a better place. If there’s one thing we have against the wealthy, its numbers. Basically my whole argument boils down to hope. If all of us hope for a better world and work to make it happen (protest, voting, striking, etc.) the world can be a better place. Call it delusional, but it helps me sleep at night.
The entire album is incredible, but I would say Videotape. Simply awesome. The syncopation is great even if I haven’t looked into it much. I honestly thought the repetiotnnof “in videotape” was weird but now its really grown on me. The entire album has really grown on me, my first listen I thought it was good but nothing special. Now its one of my favorite albums of all time. Kid A is still the best Radiohead album, though.
