Makes sense, thanks for the response! It is kind of fun to have a mix of the higher level (like R/Scilab) and lower level (which I used Fortran for mine).
I’m curious why you chose R as an alternative to Matlab instead of Scilab. Scilab is specifically designed to be a free and open source alternative to Matlab.
For my thesis I was writing some test software and when deciding which language to use Matlab was immediately ruled out due to the cost (and also the extra cost for the toolkits I’d need). I instead went with Scilab which now means that anybody wanting to reproduce my results can do so freely.
Your Mcdicks serves you at your table? They tried that years ago out east but it only lasted a few months.
It was scary seeing how quickly it grew but luckily Franklin churned up some cooler water so Lee should significantly weakened before landfall.
The change here hasn’t been that bad other than half of the user base literally shitting themselves if you mention ads or windows. It’s also sad missing out on some smaller communities that don’t exist here yet and the amount of content, but it’s nice at the same time because I waste less time scrolling through.
But the headline says “ill US researcher”. Did the headline change or am I missing something here.
I think people had their expectations too high. People are expecting it to be as good as skyrim was for 2011 but in 2023, but I went in expecting it to be as good as (vanilla) skyrim is now and so far that’s what I feel like I got.
Long haul flight simmers must really confuse you
It’s surprisingly easy to do if you have 2 walls the right distance apart for your height.
I guess just giving the linux users a taste of their medicine
If only there was some messaging app that basically every college age student already has installed. That would be convenient.
It’s the same reason people don’t get caught up on researching and buying the best socks, the best toothbrush, the best light switches, and so on. Most of the time people just want their stuff to work, and sometimes they may want the best option but most people don’t care about how exactly their messages are being sent
I reported someone for saying they would rail a child character from a video game but got a message back from the admins saying it didn’t violate any rules.
So do you think you can’t get burnt on a cloudy day?
While roscosmos has been a bit of a powerhouse for ISS missions they seem to have difficulty with missions beyond GEO. I hope they are able to land successfully but I wouldn’t be betting on it.
Feeling dumb is just the first step in learning something new
I used to be the only one of my friends that use reddit. Around the start of the pandemic some of my more “normie” (for lack of a better term) friends started signing up as well.
I think a lot of the old guard has left/is on the verge of leaving, but I don’t think there’s any shortage of new users that don’t know what a 3rd party app is, only ever used new reddit, etc.
Driving in the states must be nerve wracking knowing there’s a good chance any given car on the road is armed.
