So, not only is Maomao kidnapped and sold, but they also garnish her wages to send to the kidnappers? What a ridiculous system.
Queer transfem into tech, games and anime

I wonder if he’s happy someone is immune to his charm or if he was really into getting scowled at like that. Or both, both would be great.
It’s wild how the setup is literally, our hero gets kidnapped and sold. And she just acts the entire time, like meh, it happens.
I look forward to seeing more, the art was gorgeous.
It was nice to see Yuri again, but it wasn’t very interesting. I hope they can make his stories better outside of his interactions with Loid and Yor.
The way the demons are in this series, it almost feels at odds with how relaxed the characters are. It’s a calm, soothing world as long as you don’t mind the monsters wearing a human face while talking sweet words, out to eat you.
Those tend to be racism allegories, which is definitely not the case here.
But also like, I don’t think you can petrify a corpse. Did they carve at his face to make that skull? Which is way gruesome still, and also would make it less likely to be able to put it back together.
I’ll be surprised of the king is anything other than cartoonishly evil from what we’ve seen. And unsurprisingly, Helck is too pure to notice any of the malice in others. I wonder how evil, to his face, they’ll have to be to get him to swear to kill every human.
This was never the most exciting show, but we have not even gotten Sei nerding out over potions. I hope this sudden summon from the king kicks off some kind of plot.
It was nice that they addressed our hero’s out and loud gay. When it comes to fantasy worlds, they can be any level of accepting, so its nice to see it acknowledged become a talking point.
If Rae got that good just playing chess vs the AI, the difficulty must have been cranked way up. Brings back nightmares of me trying to play Shogi in the Yakuza games.
I loved the Bond episode, but I’m still not sold on Damien and his goons as a characters I’m supposed to like.
This will be a good thing to watch out for with the upcoming Apothecary Diaries. To make sure it only creates 1 post for the 3 episodes that will air together, instead of 3 separate ones.
As a fellow Kbin user, I ended up creating a lemmy account just for this and making it my anime account instead. It’s a little annoying to have multiple accounts, but also its good redundancy in case something happens to one of them.
Dang, they are just going all out on making Philimela’s grandma the most evil they can.
I wasn’t expecting them to cover so much of the series. Frieren fans will be dining well for the next half year.
And thus the great rice quest ends. Though it feels kinda lazy that this fantasy world just happens to have all the same crops as the real world. I hope there’s an actual link between worlds that explains this and its supposed to be a clue to the audience.
Helck out there just casually punching calamities to death his first time fighting. The time he spent as a mercenary was cute, but a lot of the details on Cless fighting the demon lord seemed sus. I don’t trust any of the others that made it back unharmed.
This was cute, but I’m not sure where it’s going. Are the powers and alien stuff real? Cause the answer to that will inform where the story goes.
Same, went in blind, only because so many people were hyped for it. And I can see why, it was a lot of fun. Though, I agree that they are oddly chill about the MC’s sister considered she is on an unknown clock to being digested and unable to be revived.
Like, is there timer measured in weeks? months? years? That’s awfully long.
