I don’t know about the knx but I believe it comes with a lot of hardware. So I’d be surprised if they didn’t have it.

I can’t get decent voice recognition to work. So no wakeword until I can get a match in the first 3 tries of talking.
I’m not an expert, but if I look around, I see lots of DIYers who use ZigBee and things like that. But professionals use for example KNX. As far as I know KNX is all local, wired and so on; but a multitude more expensive. I guess there are other protocols.
So if money isn’t an issue and I had a new home, I would research KNX first, and eventually add some ZigBee gear.
Also, go for the basics: smart heating, smart switches and smart outlets. That allows the best automations. Maybe add some wires to your doors for openclose detection, power for smart blinds and so on.
Vaultwarden selfhosted is free and if you are capable of creating public facing containers, you can set this up easily.
That’s a simplistic take. There’s a saying that goes something like if you don’t read up, the Jewish are within their rights. If you read a bit, the Muslims are within their rights. If you study the issue you have no idea anymore.
I believe at this point everything in the media is a spin on the truth; for both sides.
How I see it, is that the ones with the money and technology have a better probability to stop the cycle. The ones with their backs against the wall have little options. Violence seldom leads to less violence.
That doesn’t give anything to go off… So: https://developers.home-assistant.io/docs/creating_component_index/
Can you give me the list so I know what communities to avoid?
Thank you for the motherboard advice. I was under the assumption that it’s something you buy once good and it shouldn’t change.
I should look into steamdeck. I know nothing about it 😅 Price wise it seems interesting, but that makes me doubt about specs. I’ll review some sites and YouTube’s to get a good idea of what it can do.
Thanx
I’ve purchased a stereoboomm speaker for cheaper and it has an audio out jack. Very happy with it.
It’s not really firmware, its a software solution that blocks it from phoning home. It still behaves the same.
