I do see that there are some strong and confident predictions as to the outcomes.
Yeah most people don’t “couch ideas as thought experiments” they just say what they think. Although i don’t think anyone replying made a prediction really. We can already see what’s happening and we know that bias is inherent to the entire design of LLMs.
As long as LLMs aren’t tailored to bias certain views, it may just lift humanity.

Nothing about a glorified auto-fill will uplift humanity. We already see the opposite happening right now. LLMs output is already making the internet worse because its being flooded with auto-fill bullshit. And that in turn is making LLMs even worse over time, because instead of just being garbage out, now the garbage goes in and cimes out worse than the first time.
And its impossible for LLMs to not have bias, and ones claiming to not have bias are probably the worst of all.
Depending on what you mean by “left”, i think its more of a “whitey’s on the moon” position, than Musk. Space exploration has led to many scientific advances, the USSR’s space program and the modern day PRC’s shows the left has been and still is commited to space exploration.
But in the US in particular its another example of money going to anything but dealing with the ravages of capitalism in the population: homelessness, hunger, lack of medical care, poor education, etc.

Considering thr fact that Rorschach is a stand in for the American crypto-fash to straight up fash lines of thinking that inform the superhero genre, its not strange that Snyder would think hes a cool guy with good ideas.
That book is so amazing. The film is good, but it really is a bastardization of the book, which is way more interesting in its characterizations of both “Rambo” (i forget his name in the book) and the Sheriff
The good thing about the Watchmen movie was that the ads and hype were the first time I’d heard about it, so it got me to read the Watchmen which is an amazing work.

These new schemes seem to burst more and more quickly. I’m pretty sure someone wrote something about it in some books i wish I’d read so I’d understand this phenomenon 
Its just the business model for leeches at the top to siphon off all the value created by peopoe who actually do the work. This is why pirating is so awful. Think of the C-suite overlords and shareholders!!!
