Well, then you were lucky. I‘ve been hiking off the beaten paths and more than once forced me an agitated bull to detour as he would not let me near his herd.

It really depends on what breed and how they were raised. In the Alps, there are almost anually reports of wanderers being attacked or even killed by cows. They often are with their calves for a longer time, are less accustomed to (strange) people and usually a fully intact male is in the heard that can get really protective.
Approach them with caution, watch their behaviour closely and use common sense. That’s what I do and for me that works.
The gardener in my last apartment replaced all of his powertools (mower, blower, trimmer, …) with electric ones powered by an accu-pack he carries on his back. This is an absolute game-changer! I could actually sit outside again and even do stuff for work, when he was there.
Key point: „To be secure, you should always use the latest long-term stable kernel. The key word here is “latest.” It’s not enough to use an LTS […] [or at least] Continuously update to the latest kernel release, either major or stable.“
Alcohol, Nicotine, Caffeine, Cannabis, LSD, Ketamine, MDMA, 2C-B, 4-MMC, Kratom, Psilocybin, Muscimol, Cocaine, ODSMT (tramadol), Amphetamine.
Alcohol I consider the most dangerous and destructive of all. It is very hard on my body and tolerance as well as dependence build up quickly and often noticed too late due to social acceptance.
MDMA is great taken responsibly with loved ones. My wife and I enjoy it every few months for a “free parents weekend”. It really helps opening up emotionally and makes physical touch even more enjoyable.
My almost daily vice is weed. I use it to manage stress and unwind after work. It works best when I do it together with exercise. The workout high is my personal favourite.
Shrooms are also great. They are easy to grow and very pleasant to me. After I’ve done a high dose (6g) I can do 2-3g as a chill daytime dose that mellows me out. It’s especially great for playtime with children - brings me kind of to the same mental level without losing my mental capacity.
It’s no real solution, but makes this mess a bit more sufferable when you still really want to visit that site: https://consentomatic.au.dk/
Not cheap but worth it, when you use it not only as your personal task list, but also for habit tracking, small projects management and sharing with others.
TickTick has been my weapon of choice for several years now. Still loving it.
True. I tried some other rather light-weight distros but no other gave me a comparable polished experience.
Tried it out as a last resort on an old ThinkPad … and had it running for some 5 years. This is a seriously good daily driver!

Maybe I expressed it a bit awkwardly. The other version has some integrations for syncing with Dropbox etc. and some third-party libraries. Strongbox zero is stripped of all of that.
I really like Strongbox on Mac for managing my Keepass-DBs. It is very well integrated and there even is a „no phoning home“ version that strictly runs locally.
CBT for actually getting out of a rut and sitting meditation (zazen) for staying out of it. There are many more things that help, like reducing alcohol and caffeine, regular exercise…. but meditation is what really changed the game for me.
I’d just recommend you start it with a qualified teacher. Or at least read up on it (I recommend https://www.mctb.org/ and “the mind illuminated”).
This is unfortunately the reality, as especially the majority of the German media outlets still seem to try to rationalise and understand those “prodigial sons” (as they seem to perceive them).
However, exactly the opposite to winning them back to democracy is happening: Feeling their voice being heard and valued, they catch emotional tailwinds and become even more radical.
There always has been a solid 15% of the German population that is lost to democracy and favours fascist and extremely right-wing politics. This “nazi” foundation has always been well established in many governmental bodies and economic branches as they were necessary to keep the country running after the end of WW2.
Now they are employing the same tactics as before 1945: stimulating fear among disadvantaged population groups (if factual or imaginative) and scapegoating minorities (migrants) for everything bad.
The perceived hesitation and disagreement of the current government doing their part, many of the „Bio-Germans“ who feel disadvantaged turn to the idea of „the new strong man“ that finally „cleans up the cesspool“ they imagine the current political system to be.
If nothing drastically changes, I see whole federal states go lost to the AfD that especially in eastern states are nothing more than a thinly veiled new NSDAP.
By personal (yet anecdotal) evidence, I can testify that at least camomile works. The regular tea is not concentrated enough for me to have any noticeable effect, but the oily extract (apigenin) does wonders for my stressed-out brain!
How is it negligence when I follow the official recommendations? So no, I do not feel guilt as the probability of me being the reason of somebody’s death is practically zero.
No, I said I stick to the official recommendations but do not exceed them, because I do not believe it is reasonably justified.
Wasn‘t there a crunchbang project putting this nicely together with debian? I remember it fondly, but that is centuries ago…
