I’ve known about NewPipe for a long time but I’ve never really wanted to use it because of the vast amount of missing features. It might be alright for people who don’t use YouTube very often or want to preserve their privacy at all costs but I can’t use it.

I also can’t stand the official YouTube client, not necessarily because it’s so bad, but because ReVanced simply has so much more QoL features that I can’t live without now.

Yeah this should be a way easier option. But if I’m not wrong, there’s a 30 day lock for the old username of the account. It’s supposedly to prevent name snipers. So OP should try getting their username back as quick as they can after the 30 day period.

It’s not from a specific place. It was an old GIF I knew and I searched for it. You could search “[something] perfect loop gif” or similar in a search engine.

You can also just download any GIF and convert it into WebP using an online converter like this. Then you can set that converted WebP as your profile picture.

I’ve used it before, it doesn’t work at all even on multiple devices. But hey, that’s just me. Maybe the app has improved now.

Off topic, what’s the F3 mod? It looks so much better than the default.

If you are going to use a free server solution like Aternos, why not use something like FreeMCServer? The server specifications are identical and they give you much, much better control over the file structure with FTP access. FreeMCServer also provides a much more elegant way for any player to start or renew the server without having to manually give access to anyone.

On the default Lemmy web UI, no. But some apps aggregate an account’s votes and call them “Score”, so it does exist but not many can see it.

They exist so that your granny or mom won’t fall (or atleast be warned) for stupid scams that want you to install an “official bank app” or something to steal everything. Same deal with Play Protect. Well, kiwibrowser/src isn’t updated because kiwibrowser/src.next is the actual up-to-date Kiwi Browser. Kiwi Next is similar to a beta version, and releases for Kiwi Browser are based on Kiwi Next. You can just compile Kiwi Next if you are paranoid. It’s the best Android Chromium browser.

The whole search engine debacle was unnecessary, and that basically killed Kiwi’s reputation even though it really had zero impact on anyone or anything. I mean, if the default search engine is something you don’t prefer, it’s just a few goddamn presses to change it to whatever you want.
