It’s probably the game which has distracted me the most from my current objective.
The number of “ooooo what’s that?” moments that derailed the next couple hours entirely was massive.
Maybe my first oblivion playthrough comes close but not much else.
Racers and shooters in particular are harder to enjoy as you get older. Reaction time tends to be very important with those and once you’re 25 or so you’re only gonna see that get worse really.
My pc has lasted 14 years (and I expect another 40) and been capable of playing every game in that time because I’ve been able to upgrade it without dropping thousands at once.
Apple products are good for sure, but they don’t let the consumer choose very much. Sometimes that’s good (I always advocated apple products for my grandparents) but more often than not it’s just annoying.
I buy a new android phone every 3ish years and give my old one to my mum, she’s never had one break yet so all mine have had at least 5-6 years life before she upgrades to my latest old one (and possibly it still has years left). I don’t buy the idea that Apple phones last longer than Android at all.
What upgrades? Not doubting you, just curious what you’ve been able to do.
That was kinda the point I was making because apple don’t really let you upgrade hardware so if you want an improved computer better go spend a couple grand on our shiny new one with a 0.2mm thinner screen!
They definitely make good products, and I advised my grandparents to stick to apple because it’s more intuitive for a non techy person, and because they’re all identical and customer support would be easier to deal with.
Phones matter a bit less I suppose because we’re not all upgrading hardware in android phones, they did recently lose a court case for deliberately throttling speeds on old devices though didn’t they?
Has anyone ever really believed that? It became very apparent very quickly that their MO was getting customers to buy only Apple products and then to replace them as often as they could get away with.
Some people up north do I believe, I had a mate in uni from Manchester who would use pants for trousers but the majority think underwear.
Generally it’s kind of a childish term for underwear, and usually you’d hear people referring to boxers/briefs/bra/etc.

Yeah I don’t mean survivable. I was thinking about the implication from the comment that sugar is this horrific substance which is prone to abuse and should be avoided at all costs.
If the point is for refined sugar then I’m with them. If they’re talking about sugar as a whole though, then it would be unhealthy to go for a week without any.
What a strange choice to make. I don’t remember that ever being on mine but I’m not using it all that much so might have just not noticed to be fair.

I’ve acquired this recently and it’s made work a lot easier to deal with.
I’ve realised nobody ever gets fired in the company I work in (and I would 100% take the severance package if offered redundancy). I’ve spent 8 years being a team player, giving extra hours for nothing, and becoming one of the most knowledgeable people in the world for our system, only to be given a middle finger of a raise after a 6month fight (in which I was told almost immediately they’d take care of me and I’d be happy with it.
Well. Fuck them and their 7.5%.
Ill take the minimal amount of extra cash but as far as I’m concerned that’s SOME of my back pay for the efforts over the last 8 years. I am putting 10% effort into my job and 90% into finding a new one now (which will come with another 5% for a sideways move anyway).
A few years ago I wouldn’t be able to stop myself trying to please everyone even after all that, it’s so refreshing being able to turn off that switch which says I should care about my job. All it took was nearly a decade of mistreatment before realising they didn’t give a shit about me…

Dude makes a video every 3-6months but god I love them. If anything they’ve improved over the years as his style has been refined and the videos got longer.
