You may know about the Bessemer process, but how would your character discover this process? Unless your character is an accomplished blacksmith or engineer, I’d call metagaming.
… I know that’s a bit of a buzzkill, but that’s where my mind goes.

When I start taking screenshots waaaay too often, that’s when I know I’m really engrossed in it.
I do this especially often with EU4, like whenever I’m in a gigantic war, or when I’ve just taken some land and my borders are looking real sexy
We don’t talk about 1st America and 2nd America
just as liberal as Reddit.
Don’t let the communists hear you say that
As a Gen Z’er, I can really feel the Millennial vibes permeating throughout Lemmy
I’m also having an incredible time playing Battlebit Remastered. I’ve always been intimidated by competitive shooters, but the massive battle sizes and the light-hearted community really bring the game together.
Just got back into Europa Universalis IV yesterday and have been re-addicted to it ever since.
I had been hooked on Crusader Kings III for a very long time, but I realized at some point that I was ignoring all of the roleplay elements and just map-painting, so I decided to play a game that specializes in map-painting.
Oh, absolutely. I was gonna mention that, but I knew he’d just whine about people judging him for his profile pic instead of his words or something like that.
Well, that nuance is not present in your original post. Criticism of Israel and Israeli lobbying groups is perfectly fine, so long as you’re specific in your criticisms and you avoid hyperbole and generalizations.
Your original phrasing is ambiguous and hyperbolic in a way that you could easily be referring to EITHER specific issues with certain Israeli lobbyist groups OR broad conspiracies about Jewish control of the US government. This same ambiguity is regularly used by anti-semites to disguise anti-semetic rhetoric as good faith criticism of the Israeli government.
You may have had the best of intentions, but this post reads like Nazi concern-trolling, and I’m not surprised that it got censored.
The idea that Israeli lobbyists are singlehandedly “paying off the US’ debt” is so patently absurd that I can easily see someone interpreting it as anti-semetic. Criticizing pro-Israel lobbyists is one thing, but when you start implying that Israeli lobbyists literally control the US government, I think you’re stepping into clearly anti-semetic territory.
That alongside the wink-wink nudge-nudge “we all know who it is” comment really pushes this post over the edge. You’re clearly parroting anti-semetic tropes, intentional or not.
Oh yeah - the duplicate comments plus the length of the comment had me pretty embarrassed, lol

I have two brothers. My younger brother is pretty cool - always kind and talkative, even though our interests don’t overlap much. He’s like an extroverted friend who always engaged with you, even if you don’t have much interesting to respond with.
My older brother and I barely know each other by now, but he seems to have invented a fictional version of me who he absolutely despises. Every time I see him, he gets quieter and quieter, and he regularly texts our mother with the most venomous insults and accusations he can sling my way. I’ve probably spoken fifty words to him in the last few years, but he’s fully convinced that I’m an evil person working to slight him at every turn.
I wonder sometimes if I should talk to him directly and ask what’s up, or if I should just write him off. Even my mother is confused as to why he’s like this.

It was the only semi-clever punny nickname I could think of, lol
Fair enough! My compliments on your character’s backstory - that sounds fun!
Also, I would think that a second big bang would be morally neutral on a universal scale, but that’s not much comfort for the people currently existing…
