Time to switch to DuckDuck
I mean, it makes sense no? They are a business after all. Why wouldn’t they try to enforce their ads? I personally don’t watch YT that much but why not just pay up if you need ad free experience? The content on YouTube is good because creators get paid well from ads
I won’t play since it’s with protection plugins. I’m not a Greifer but this is lame
Kinda reverse, but when I moved to Singapore I was amazed by how few people knew how to cook their own food. But then again you can get a meal outside for 3-5 bucks so not really an issue
I mean, when I stopped nicotine that just caused me to “replace” it with caffeine instead. Not sure which is worse tbh
To be fair, the only reason why YouTube got so big and stayed relevant is THANKS to the ads. Do you think there would be incentives for creators to create good content if there wasn’t as revenue?
How is that different from any other Lemmy client though?
To be fair, there are much worse projects too that were rugpulled. But I guess these didn’t go on long.
It used to be that Apple wanted to have their own standard in part to be able to sell more cables. By switching now, is actually not stupid- everyone have to buy new cables again
Ah now they can add the buzzword “Blockchain powered” on every page of their IPO prospectus
Love this transparency post and info, much appreciated
Doubt it as it’s criminal
Including enterprise calls? Lots of companies use this for client calls etc…
Ya the whole point of fediverse. Yet it still feels much like a winner-takes-all scenario
Yeah that’s my point, neither did I
Same, some of my posts were removed without being told why. For example /c/pics is apparently exclusive to photography which wasn’t at first obvious to me. Still - would be nice to be sent a message when mods remove it
Probably won’t be using this but always nice to see many different options for apps being developed
More posts like this. Data is beautiful
Well it kinda works in a weird way
