It’s lovely, Bones! Thank you!

I had no idea they were still on the ship.
https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/18/us/baltimore-bridge-dali-ship-crew/index.html
TLDR: the ship has minimum staffing requirements, even when stationary, the crews visas expired while they were trapped, the investigation is ongoing and the FBI took their cell phones.
And Baltimore attorneys don’t want any of the crew to leave the country until the investigation is over, which may take two years.
The death penalty is always more expensive for tax payers than life in prison. Just be honest and admit you enjoy your blood lust fantasies. https://deathpenaltyinfo.org/policy-issues/costs
If Jared Kushner is not a vampire then modern media has lied to me about the signs to look out for.
Oh good. That makes more sense.
What the actual fuck. He “doesn’t remember” making the rambling phone calls where he graphically threatens the lives of house members of color, because of his bipolar disorder and his PTSD, and when capitol police show up at his house to politely ask him to stop doing that, he offered to let them take his guns away and they said “No thank you, sir! You keep those bad boys!”
I hope, but don’t believe that he will get the help he needs while incarcerated.
They wash their vegetables with soap? Like… special veg soap or just like Dawn or something?
A friend of mine solves this by meticulously peeling the caps and discarding the stems. It seems like a lot of work to me. I use a mushroom brush to get the dirt and substrate/manure off and call it good.
About 110, but most are not very active. I do tend to go through my ‘subscribed: new’ feed pretty quickly and then switch to ‘local: active.’
Ickplant moderates and is the main poster for !otters@lemmy.world , !bats@lemmy.world , !opossums@lemmy.world and !beavers@lemmy.world which, together are about half my Subscribed feed. BonesOfTheMoon fills my feed with !poetry@lemmy.world which is nice.
because it aggravates you?
I use Mlem on iPhone, but I can’t send private messages, I just get an error message every time. I have to use voyager if I want to do that. Otherwise it’s a very good app.
A friend of mine told me he went to a concert that was “so loud it physically hurt his ears.” He thought I was looking at him like he had two heads because that was such a strange experience until I told him that voices at normal conversational volume often “physically hurts my ears.”
He never knew why I was always asking him to lower his voice, he thought it was just a weird thing I did.
The language they use there would be hilarious if it wasn’t, you know, horrible. Men against girls. Like there’s a bunch of surly 35 year old men, absolutely dunking on a team of 5 year old girls just doing their best!
I feel like not enough people know why we’re even hearing about this issue. In 2019, a conservative think tank did focus groups and figured out that trans women and girls competing in sports against cis women and girls would be the most upsetting social issue for middle class suburban women and conservative democrats. It did better at swaying votes than any economic issue, and tested well in local elections, so they took it to the national scale. It was never about the athletes.

When Schilling considered the range of issues making centrist voters and suburban parents uncomfortable, the one that stood out to him was transgender rights: an issue that had largely been absorbed into the Democratic platform, but which he suspected many Americans were still processing themselves. But what was the right angle to take? Earlier that summer, American Principles Project had partnered with a behavioral science firm to assess whether focusing on transgender issues could turn educated suburbanites into Republican voters.
APP and its data partner, Evolving Strategies, analyzed how thousands of registered Kentucky voters reacted to different messages about what they described as Beshear’s “extreme” support for transgender rights. Should men be allowed to participate in sports events for women and girls? Andy Beshear thinks so. Should men be permitted to use women’s restrooms because they identify as transgender women? Andy Beshear thinks so.
“What we found was the sports issue got the most powerful response from people, specifically conservative Democrats and independents,” Schilling would explain to me later.
“We wanted Bevin to win, but more than anything, we wanted to test this out before trying it at a much larger scale. Now, donors understand that although we came up a few votes short in Kentucky, this can still work. This is persuasive,” Schilling said.
Days before Laundrie killed Petito, police officers pulled them over in Utah after witnesses reported seeing the couple fighting; at least one witness said that they saw Laundrie hit Petito. Police did not interview this witness and instead determined Petito to be the aggressor […] One of the two officers had a history of allegedly committing domestic violence, including allegations that he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend when he worked at the police department in another Utah town.
I live in Northern California and every time articles about Cascadia come out I have nightmares for a few days. Then I forget about it again. Unfortunately, I think this is also the attitude of the people in charge of infrastructure and earthquake resilience. To be fair, they’ve got their hands full with wild fires and like, being baby sacrificing socialist pronoun witches or what ever us Left Coast-ests are getting up to these days. We have a good time though.
Looks like that one hasn’t been specifically researched. But where I go they do “Platelets Plus,” so as you’re eligible they take an additional bag of either red cells or plasma. So, unless the all toxins are all in the white cells, it should do the job.
Or platelets every two weeks, woo!
I think it was millipedes.
