Tons of creators streaming on YouTube. Also shorts are an easily palatable way to watch highlights or funny moments from a stream, it makes sense

Same I’ve been on YouTube since at least 2006 so almost 18 years 😭 (I’m turning 30 soon for reference) That’s a long ass time to be using any service. Times have changed
I’m curious, what makes you prefer Libretube?
OnePlus?
It’s not exactly a new design.
One of the major reasons that no one seems to mention is that renter’s are well protected by right’s and are nearly impossible to kick out. Rental contracts are usually signed without any expiry on the lease and agents are only allowed to raise rental prices every few years. People are expected to live in their rental for decades, to the point where rentals come without kitchens because people are expected to buy their own and use it for 20 years
No one relies on meat. The poorest countries in the world rely on rice and beans for protein
They are functionally the same.
All milk is breast milk. You mean human breast milk.
What’s crazy to me is that people are so weirded out by the thought of a grown up consuming human breast milk all the while cow, goat, sheep, camel etc are considered nOrMaL for adult human consumption
You’re a victim of successful brainwashing. My condolences
You think other countries don’t subsidize their industries for competition? Lol
Welcome to the real world kiddo
or nudes (for extortion)
This one is so brutal and seriously fucked up.
Back in the day it was mostly just the good old story of the Nigerian prince wanting you to inherit his millions :(
Scammers used to be more wholesome and creative for real
At the end of the day the selection bias may not apply in a meaningful way as the type of boomer unable to navigate through a simple multiple choice survey would likely not be using the internet in the first place.
For example my dad is 73 and has never used a computer in his life. Worked as a gardener and never needed it for work. He sends letters to his close ones or lets me or my mom do the typing for him. So there’s 0 chance of him getting scammed.
The younger boomers and older gen X would have likely used computers for about 30 years now so would be much more adapted to it as this point. It’s not the year 2000 anymore
It’s not though because it’s all 2FA.
And it’s not like you’re forced to use it either, if you prefer to opt out you can still walk into a Govt service centre and be served in person without needing an appointment. Just walk in
Also laber mir nix. Lächerlich einfach
As a German who has been living and working overseas (mainly Australia) for over 5 years, coming back to Germany to visit is such a huge culture shock now. It’s so much less developed compared to 20 or 30 years ago (or at the very least it stagnated), everything is slow and the economy depressing.
Even things that are meant to be easily done online like tax returns are a huge pain. You need to verify yourself by scanning your ID or getting a physical letter with a code sent to you. It’s ridiculous. In Australia you simply log in into your myGov account and handle everything from visa applications, tax returns, health records, welfare payments, child support etc all on one website. It’s super quick and easy.
And unlike Germany, government lingo is easy to understand and accessible. I feel like Germany is purposely trying to keep things as complex as possible to the point where many people have to hire an accountant for tax purposes
I’ve had no issue so far. It’s just as fast as Chrome for me and the AdBlock just the cherry on top. I use it on both my phone and Android tablet
Edit: Kiwi is based on Chromium so its privacy is arguably very very debatable
I use both for different types of contents. Reddit has so many small niche communities that are currently still irreplaceable for me.
I don’t disagree with you, just explaining why it is the way it is
We’ve had the same issue of modern slavery in Germany for over 10 years since Romania has become part of the EU. People working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week while barely earning 200€ and being forced to live with multiple people in one bed(!) or even sleeping in tents near the factories. Most of these people are young men brought to Germany under the impression that they will have a better life but ending up in a vicious cycle and are unable to escape because their managers will take away their passports upon arrival
