the lack of depth was what really made the game a disappointment
this right here. I didn’t experience any bugs at all on pc but the game is just bad, the world doesn’t feel lived in, and the gameplay is just meh (some guns were fun though)

Lemmy users try not to correct you challenge (impossible)
really “normie” is a normie term now, ever since Wednesday on Netflix became a pop culture phenomenon. I’ve heard people in real life use this term
just so you know, Mozilla vpn is just a repackaged mullvad vpn, they’re partnered
good to hear. dodi just officially denied the accusations as well:
although he claims integritycheck.exe is a windows process, when clearly it is also the name of that miner I linked above
my guess is the dodi account on torrent galaxy, although verified, could be a fake and is putting in these viruses, or maybe the people commenting saying they got the virus from dodi actually got it from that hogwarts legacy crack which originally had this miner.
either way, I always hope the community will take these sorts of claims seriously and investigate to ensure everyone’s safety
it’s not a false positive people are finding. it’s a bitcoin miner called integritycheck.exe
it seems like half the people I see who downloaded it say they got a tojan, and half didn’t. Could it possibly be triggering only for certain people? perhaps if their specs are good enough for bitcoin mining or not? or maybe just at random? just spitballing here
There are claims from comments on torrent galaxy that dodis release has the same bitcoin miner:

I hope someone can get to the bottom of this
for real though… as an American I would love if we were 11 years behind the EU in lots of other areas
people usually look where they are going
I’ve barely used mine. I just didn’t think through what use case I’d have for it and bought it since it was cool. I don’t travel much and I usually only want to game when I’m home anyway, where I use my main gaming rig. I thought I would use the deck in bed, but I find that it’s not as enticing as I thought it would be
been meaning try and sell it while it’s still got some value tbh, it’s basically brand new even though I’ve had it for nearly a year
agreed. imo YouTube has one of the best algorithms out of any social media site. maybe it’s just because I’ve had an account for over 10 years, but it always suggests great videos
yeah I agree. I’ve noticed a real decline in quality too. I think it’s because the entire site is just bots reposting old content and bots commenting old comments
I wish I did this. I went to check if there were any signs of the protest and couldn’t help but contribute to one of the “fuck spez” signs
I then realized that place already felt kind of overdone last time they did it, this time it just feels completely meaningless
Yes I know, I read the article. I was referring to the first incident with the perception remark, but it still makes sense to include it in the headline with the second scenario for clarity’s sake
FYI, there is a way to use ReVanced Manager to import your own API key into baconreader and other 3rd party apps:

It shows people that it’s not just trans people at risk due to this violent rhetoric the right spews. Everyone is at risk of being targeted even if they are perceived as trans.
I’m a cis man, but I don’t have the deepest voice, and I’ve been worried about this kind of thing happening for a while since I live in the south, and it looks like I was right to worry.
Thanks for the understanding and reasonable reply. I also appreciate the thoughtful discussion.
I don’t even dislike Firefox, I have it installed on my PC and my phone alongside Brave. And I don’t think Brave is completely undeserving of criticism either, just not to the extent that it is portrayed at large.
I use brave and think it’s the best browser available, so I’m not arguing against it or anything, but technically it just supports use of the onion protocol, it does not provide the same full suite of protections that the tor browser does
As Brave says themselves:
