It feels weird that governments have to force companies to give us back what we used to have.

Noob question: Let’s say you’re an Uber driver. If you keep the app open while waiting for rides would you still receive the $17.96 even if you don’t get any rides? And… In case you receive a ride for $50 how does Uber splits the money? Thanks for clarifying
I think the biggest deal about Fediverse is it gives users control instead of companies. Most of social networks are controlled by big tech companies, the fact Fediverse can’t be controlled by companies but users makes me feel commited to it. Fediverse could be as good as we want.
I agree. I can understand this is a tech-focused instance but that doesn’t means Lemmy World was not right for us. If someone creates an Android-focused instance then we would move again because that would be even more suitable than this one?
However I expect the community to keep growing and next time it would be nice if mods ask the members before taking decisions that affect the whole community.
Imo the differences don’t worth the money. I suggest you buy the cheapest you can find between those 2.
Well Elon… You could’ve avoided this if you just didn’t laid them off as soon as you bought Twitter
I don’t agree with their decision but I understand their reasons. Probably the new instance is more suitable for the community, however they were growing in one of the biggest Lemmy instances. I think the best they could’ve done was to ask the community. Despite of that, I expect the android community to continue growing as it was before moving.
There’s a bit of app in your ads.
There are ratio friendly private trackers. One of them is FileList. Probably you should keep an eye for open signups.
