If I’m lucky I can manage to keep the eyeroll and smirk on the inside. I’m kind of inelegant with social graces though.

It’s about time. I have been fed up with religion since 1978.
When this was announced, my opinion was that only hobbyists would even be interested in gas powered cars by 2035. I have to admit I thought the transition to electric vehicles would pick up pace a little quicker more suddenly than it has so far, but there’s still time to have my prediction come true.
I no longer use mine for much but to control one light with an illogical switch placement. I could pretty much replace her with The Clapper™️
About a third of the houses in my neighborhood have gone solar. My household was one of the first to do it about five years ago and every time I go for a walk I notice a new one that popped up. Our solar system payment is about half what our electric bill used to be and we make more electricity than we use every month of the year, even with charging a plug-in hybrid car. Far from “no one is going to do it.” I frankly don’t understand why more people don’t do it.
I went to a gender neutral restroom in California a couple months ago. Each toilet was in its own little private room, and there was a common area of sinks for hand washing. My only thought was that all public restrooms should be like that. Even apart from the equal access issue for LGBTQ+ people, why make one gender stand in line when there are unused facilities right next door.
I’ve been waiting for this.
It’s Lachlan. He’s at least as bad as the old man.
Not even 48 seconds. Just thinking about being buried alive for too long can give me a panic attack. Noping out of this thread now!
I like to google stuff I’m not remotely interested in, just so the data they sell on me is worthless.
Yeah. Doomscrolling curated content is a healthy usage pattern. Right? Right?!?

My idea was you take it to a played-out salt mine, and you just put it right back in.
Reddit was down a lot too, and they stuck ads in my face. It’s not like I have a pacemaker that needs Lenny.world to be up in order to function. Keep up the good work and I hope whoever is behind the attacks steps on a Lego.
And let’s face it. Even if they only lost 3% or whatever of their user base to Lemmy, it was definitely the coolest, smartest, best-looking 3%.
Robots!
Half the people are hand-wringing about robots taking all the jobs. The other half are hand-wringing about population decline leaving too few working-age people to do all the jobs.
Seems like these 2 problems cancel each other out.😎
I spend a lot of time searching for evidence that the true percentage isn’t actually 100%.
The ad was paid for by the Barbers Hill Education Foundation, which has contact information on their website. I sure hope nobody decides to tell them how they feel about this.
