Legally, you’re allowed to make copies of games that you own and use them in an emulator. You can download mods, play multiplayer across the Internet when servers get shut down and also take advantage of better hardware and get better resolution and framerates, then there are quality of life improvements like savestates.

People are just not price sensitive to most things. It’s also seen as bad to be thrifty, most people think of you as being cheap or stingy. Everything is about appearances now, people are more worried about what other people think than their own interests.
Companies have also figured out that they can make more profit by raising prices and shipping less product. They have to pay less in overhead and wages and get the same amount of money.
I have an old “NEXT” bike that I pinned the front fake shocks because they’re really only springs. I did the same with the rear one by taking out the spring and replacing it with a piece of pipe. It rides good, it’s still a POS that I got for free.

Cars. Expensive cars require more frequent and complicated maintenance and repairs than cheaper cars. They over engineer them on purpose in order to make it unreasonable to maintain them in the long run. They don’t want their brand sullied by old versions of their cars driven around by poor people.
When you buy a stock that’s already ipo’d you’re not giving any money to the company.
So they won’t mind being split into three different companies, right?
Google+ did the same thing when it rolled out, then they tried to force people to use it before they cancelled the project.
Are responsibilities being spread fairly or are older employees dumping the shitty work onto younger employees? Does the workplace unfairly reward employees based on how long they’ve worked there? I’ve worked in those environments and it sucks.
