From what I understand, Tuta may have a slight edge theoretically, but email itself is a pretty poor protocol when it comes to privacy.

Tuta was forced by court order to implement a message logger for an individual, but AFAIK all of their previous messages were encrypted and could not be read by Tuta, and therefore the Government could only see new unencrypted messages coming in before they were encrypted.

Disroot only recently implemented at-rest encryption, so that should be fairly solid now. Posteo also allows you to encrypt your inbox and calendar at rest.

Even with that, consider all private email providers as mostly just to avoid surveillance capitalism (to prevent your data from being mined and sold), but with only marginal protection from state agents.

Tuta and Posteo are both pretty excellent (posteo is cheaper, but has a few less options that might be a deal breaker if you need them, like custom domain support).

Disroot is a good free option, and they offer custom domains after a one time donation.

Mailbox is okay, though they are known to have a very odd 2fa, and will recycle your address if you ever stop paying, allowing others to claim it and potentially impersonate you.

Posteo is unique in that they’ll never delete your account for inactivity, or even if you stop paying, where they’ll let you access and read emails, but not let you send them until you pay again.

1. Joining and organizing within your local community to create connections with others is incredibly powerful, will lay the groundwork for effective resistance.
2. We can effect things drastically with a general strike. This can massively impact their income streams, and can bring a government to its knees if done on a large enough scale.
3. Join the IWW and attempt to unionize your workplace, so that the general strike is even more effective.

If we put in the work, we can resist this and we can win. Join up with allies while we still can easily!

There have been some successful non-violent revolutions in history, and there’s a strong case to be made that not exhausting those options could be a huge mistake.

We still have, right now, completely un-used tools at our disposal, such as unionizing en masse and deploying a general strike, which is insanely powerful (capable of bringing a nation to its knees if done widely enough), while being far less dangerous and more appealing to the general populace than any other means.

Consolidation sometimes happens, but sometimes doesn’t for certain reasons, such as a community being abandoned, or different visions for a similar topic.

Personally I would recommend picking the most popular community or the one that seems to appeal to you the most, and only posting in that one, while staying subscribed to the others (if they are active) to keep abreast of that content and be able to participate in the comments if you desire.

I came back to this thread and saw other responses about a previous post you made about this place, and I just want to also chime in and also say this ozone generator would not be viable for that situation where there will be so many untreated rooms of other tenets. I would recommend not going back.

I have no relation to that company, other than having bought a couple of their generators to deal with a mold and mildew smell issue in a garage and a room in my house, where they worked quite well.

I haven’t ever needed them for bed bugs personally, but from what I’ve read it should be able to exterminate every bug in a room after about 10 hours per room (though it may not kill every egg if they’re in an odd spot that the gas can’t get to).

When I used one in a bedroom, I didn’t notice much if any leakage from the room with the door closed, and it dissipated after a couple hours of being off.

I would hate to recommend this and have it potentially not work considering your situation, so you may want to try other solutions first before going down on this route.

I’d recommend purchasing an ozone generator and ozonating the house/room if possible. Forever ozone makes an affordable residential unit for 80 bucks.

Make sure you have a couple extension cords (it’s dangerous to breathe) so you can activate it from outside the house/room, and run it for the amount of time described in the instructions to eliminate bedbugs, and your problem should be solved.

That’s a very unique trait amongst the privacy focused providers. In comparison, mailbox.org will recycle email addresses after a certain amount of time of not paying, potentially allowing someone to impersonate you by claiming your old address.

Does Almalinux’s 10 year support represent death by being unchanging, stagnation?
