  • DS5 is probably the best you can choose. The build quality is good and they work fine with Linux via Bluetooth. Also it is not some exotic choice and is widely supported.

The Xbox controllers are also working fine, but they are lacking the gyro and touchpad. Also the build quality wasn’t great when I used one the last time (A button not registering every press and wonky d-pad). They are a bit cheaper, but also much worse imo.

  • It is just unfortunate that it does not run on Nvidia hardware. The benchmark runs if you disable all RTX features, but it crashes on a new game before you even have full control of the character.

Looking at protondb it looks like all people with Nvidia have issues since the 2.0 update. I hope there will be some fix soon. I don’t want to replace the GPU yet it would be a waste (2080 Super).

For now I am playing it on my Steam Deck instead.

  • That’s fine. The problem lies in talking about their works which might encourage others to buy the books or merchandise etc. Unfortunately the best result would be if the work and the author would be forgotten, but that’s unlikely to happen. So at least when talking about the works it should never be omitted that the author is a horrible person who abuses her influence to hurt other people.

Hence I disagree with the take. This way around the work should not be separated from the creator, because popularizing it is enabling even if you won’t consume any more than what you already have, others might.
