Am I a joke to you?
Obviously their mod is different but I gotta show love.

Of course he did, one thing that actual bullies don’t like is when someone stands up to them. First they cry foul and then complain until they realize no one is listening, hopefully after that, they lose their power.
The Republican media arm (Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, etc.) and by proxy, the Republican Party, have been bullies my entire life. Forgive me that I don’t care that the Democrats are finally standing up to them.
I’m in the south of France, and people from France, England, Dubai, Serbia, Canada and Colombia have come up to tell me they can’t believe what is happening in America… They want Trump.
Fuck this guy with every square foot of housing he is hoarding.
Private equity firms have been buying veterinary offices at an increased rate since 2020 and jacking up rates, especially in high COL areas so I’m not surprised. My dog needed a tooth extracted at the end of last year and the cost was just under $1000. I understand there are highly trained individuals working there that need to be paid appropriately but I wonder what the cost for me to have one tooth extracted would be?
I just read your last paragraph and the recent comment and I agree there’s room for discussion in a lot of areas but people retreat to their tried and true positions because it’s comfortable and safe to think like everyone else around them. I wish you luck on your journey, self reflection and growth from a strong religious upbringing/society isn’t easy. I was raised Catholic but thankfully my parents and Catholic School weren’t the hardcore evangelical types so I was able to make my own mental/religious path pretty early in life.
I’ll be honest, I had to read your comments a couple of times to get the crux of what you were getting at. It’s tough trying to translate our depthless thoughts to a quick comment on a website so a lot of times I don’t comment. Or, if I do, I preface it by stating that I agree with the problem/issue, then I state my case/thought and then reiterate that agree again at the end because it doesn’t matter if it’s Lemmy, Reddit, or some other part of the internet, people read quick and then type something to get a response or make themselves feel better, unfortunately most people aren’t looking for a discussion. And, a lot of time the best discussions come from situations like this where a couple of back and forth comments gets to the real point.
Also good point on dictionary definitions and the use of literally.
Shit, someone gets the plague here every year, it’s even more common in New Mexico.
When I first moved to Colorado, I was definitely surprised the first time I saw something about bubonic plague in the headlines but I’ve lived here long enough that it’s just something that happens every year or so, it’s pretty much always isolated and most of the time the person recovers.
More people die hiking in this state than from plague and I don’t think that’s going to stop people from hiking anytime soon. Same with skiing and I’ll be on the slopes come winter.
To your point, I think it’s acceptable to call selling your body in a variety of ways prostitution. South Park has an episode from an early season about Kenny, Johnny Knoxville, and Tom Green doing gross stuff for money, in the episode Jesus calls the boys out for helping to make Kenny a prostitute. All that doesn’t change the dictionary definition of prostitution which is what the capuchin was participating in. From the Wikipedia article called “Prostitution”: Prostitution is the business or practice of engaging in sexual activity in exchange for payment. The definition of “sexual activity” varies, and is often defined as an activity requiring physical contact (e.g., sexual intercourse, non-penetrative sex, manual sex, oral sex, etc.) with the customer.
I’m trying to think of something that was somewhat popular to make this more interesting. I’ll say Paperboy, I had a friend who really liked it but I never cared for it. Even when it showed up on emulators or retro game packs, it’s was always annoying and boring to me.
The capuchin engaged in sexual activity for payment, call it what you want but that pretty much the dictionary definition of prostitution. It’s not a moral or god question it’s semantics.
I’m late to the party but I’ll still share. To answer your first question, yes this is how it happens.
My experience was similar, I think it also has to do with you unlocking upgrades for the guns along with the OCs, I’ve read someone’s suggestion for grey beards to try a Haz 4 or 5 without all of the upgrades and OCs to try and remember what it was like starting out. I need to try that at some point.
The other thing I’ll add is that I was just in that same comfort level and recently jumped to pretty much all Haz 5 unless I’m trying a new OC. Still dying a little more than I’d like so I wouldn’t say it’s cozy yet but Haz 4 started feeling too easy and I’m going for the challenge right now.
I didn’t think there was much to it but I didn’t understand how it attacks Dotty, that makes a lot more sense. That’s also why I mentioned it, because I figured someone would be able to explain it. Thanks!!
I like it. I think the drillevator missions are a change from the other mission types. Looking for the crystals is kind of annoying, but it always seems to cause the team to separate and that can lead to more danger. I think the drillevator phase should have more bugs that can attack from a distance to make it more intense, that part always seems to be pretty easy except for the very first time when we didn’t have enough enough ammo. I like the Core stone event and the unique enemy types. It feels like the Ommeran Heartstone missions are tougher on haz 5, not a complaint, I just don’t totally understand the phase where it turns red and small bubbles of stone pop up. I like that you can play previous seasons, I only started at the beginning of last season. I haven’t gotten to play around with the new overclocks yet. Overall I can’t really complain.
Nice! I’m a trim carpenter and I work in historic preservation. I’m a project manager now but I worked my way up from laborer.
Let me start by saying, I believe in human caused climate change, I believe it’s the biggest threat to the world at large currently.
I have to ask did any the doom and gloom people in this comment section read the article? Specifically the part where it says that it’s happens there every three to five years? I live in Colorado and have experienced snow in the mountains in summer. In fact Arapahoe Basin is still open to skiing for another two weeks this year. Sometimes it’s going to snow in the mountains in June.
I’m going to finish by stating once again that I believe that climate change is a threat that all of humanity faces on a daily basis, I just don’t know if “semi regular summer snow hits highland Scottish Mountains” is the apocalyptic omen that people here are saying it is. There’s plenty of those if you look around: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/antarcticas-doomsday-glacier-is-melting-even-faster-than-scientists-thought/
The movies just came out. I’d like to see Fall Guy in a theater but I’m busy, even movies that come out on streaming still take me a few weeks if not months to get to. I got shit to do.
Hollywood really needs to stop declaring flops within the first few weeks, whether it’s streaming or films in theaters. I really wish things were allowed to grow organically. Video games are essentially in the same boat. Unlike my dad who stopped watching movies because of the “Hollywood liberals” I’ve stopped watching/buying any new movies/tv shows/video games because everyone is looking for an immediate smash hit. I give them at least a year now. If enough people are still talking about it, I might buy it.
I finally watched the first Dune last month, still on the fence about buying Baldur’s Gate 3, I’ll probably get around to it eventually.
After wasting all that time typing this out, I realize that I don’t really care that much. The producers and powers that be don’t care about me so I’m not their target demographic. But, I take comfort in the fact that by the time I get to some new(to me) piece of media that it’ll be good because it stood the test of time(at least for a year or so).
I may be wrong but I believe dish soap is an alkaline/base and I know vinegar is acidic. If you mix the two, they are going to neutralize each other. I’d try just the vinegar and some hot water, that’s I use to clean water scale build ups.
Really, it’s Congress who should be trying to tackle the issues but they don’t want to make decisions so they’ve basically relinquished their powers to the President who can only govern by executive decision and the Supreme Court who were supposed to be the ones making decisions on unclear laws. At the end of the day, the President only has so much power and Congress is where people are failing to do their jobs.
A friend of mine dabbles in video game collecting so I knew the price was high there for a bit. My OG Wavebird is in a plastic tub in my parent’s basement with the rest of my old video game gear.
