This is something that bugs me too. Its not completely broken but there are a lot of small issues assuming you can even get the game to run at all

Nice!
Time for some Tribes or Heroes of Might and Magic.
Yup! I don’t have a PS5 but I’d have already bought it on Steam if it was out. Now since I have to wait anyway, I’ll probably just wait for it to go on sale since the hype is gone.
Because Bethesda isn’t being cut out of anything. You still need to buy the original game to use mods. And most mods are made using the official modding tools that Bethesda released (Creation Kit).
Hopefully something that gets cut for the final release 😂
Wow! This is the first I heard of this so I looked it up.
According to this article it looks like you need a particular build thats not in the nightly mainline, and its very experimental.
Still, its exciting to see them work on this! I use Tree Style Tabs with custom userchrome.css, but it is a bit fragile. Native vertical tabs would be great!
Zellij is fantastic! I’ve had it installed on all my machines for a while now and it works great.
The best part is that the UI is discoverable and pretty intuitive. I no longer have to look up the seldom used tmux key chords I could never remember.
I hear you. It does make the software easier to use, but I also wish there was more control over when it was actually running. I usually just shut down the background process entirely until I want it running again, but it’s a manual process.
I’ve been wondering if something like Tasker would help but I’ve never looked into it.
There’s a “Trusted Networks” setting to limit autodiscovery to certain networks. I don’t think it’ll completely disable the software, but it should prevent your phone from being visible to others.
Don’t be biased except for these biases.
I’m curious about this too. I also bought the coffee sock to try and reduce waste. I took the advice of the fellow at the shop to keep it in water between use and boil it once per week. My water consumption was way up and I still couldn’t keep it clean. The first few cups were fantastic but eventually the flavour of old oils comes through and I haven’t found a way to get rid of it.
Now I just use paper that gets tossed into the compost. Maybe this is more environmentally friendly?
Its especially bad when someone like Alan Greenspan admitted to being wrong but the cargo cult continues.
Of course its easier to look for correlations because finding actual causal relationships often takes a life’s work.
Just like trickle down economics.
That game was amazing!
How did you get the Dreamcast connected to a server?
Because it’s a wall of text trying to justify why we’re all struggling, and I think people are just done trying to engage with such “galaxy brained” theories that are completely removed from our lived realities. Especially when people probably have better things to do than some point-counterpoint internet argument.
Not to mention, this “sound theory” is just that: a theory. Frankly, all of economics is entirely made up! That’s not to say it’s not a valuable and important study, but it’s also not based on any natural laws. It’s an entirely human construct and something we don’t fully understand. ANY economic theory can be torn apart in thousands of ways by adjusting the models a bit. In the west we’ve been fed the theories from Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan for longer than most of us have been alive, and it seems like those theories are falling apart around us! I think a lot of people are seeing that when GDP goes up and “the markets” go up, we don’t get anything. But when “the markets” go down, we have to immediately shoulder the burden. We see our hard work being absorbed by investors seeking their ROI. We see our loyalty repaid by mass layoffs so executives and investors can earn even higher profits.
So when someone tries to justify it all using the same theories and models that seem to be causing the problem, I don’t blame people for just down voting and moving on.
We’re tired of being trickled down on and it’s time for a new theory.
Yeah, y’know, just kinda bummed out.
Lol, after both steal every image on the internet.
No wonder the images look similar.
I can’t believe this is the first I’m hearing about this. Tribes is one of my favourite games! I hope this one is good.
In this context the use of “they” is just proper English though. I can’t fault someone who speaks a gendered language from using gendered pronouns as is proper in that language, but the use of “they” in English is correct and hardly political or exclusive. Every language is going to have rules that may be strange to non-native speakers, but any “confusion” is easily remedied by explaining that’s just how the language works. I find that’s also part of the fun of learning another language. I especially love trying to mix the rules of one language into another to see how silly it sounds. :)
