People used to got to Custom ROMs because OEMs were really doing shit job, that’s not the case now given now.
Honestly, Custom ROMs have been in decline of usage since few years. There are also Other ROMS like Pixel Experience, PixyOS, Havoc, evolutionX, PixelOS, Paranoid, Derpfest, CrDroid and lot more.
The reason for the drop is due to a combination of reasons like better OEM UI, unpublished Kernel code (Chinese OEMs, Mediatek), locked bootloaders and Safetynet issues.

Yup. They spoof you as Pixel OG and you get Unlimited Backup in OG resolution. I have been using it on my main acc for past 6 months or so.
I used to be on Lemmy.world and it frequently went down. Have been using lemdro.id for some time and never faced any down time till now.
Honestly, the MD3 You had been to my liking. I agree lots of features are getting Pixel Exclusive nowadays, but let’s not blame Google for this. The general space of Android in last 2 releases has been refinement over time but obviously with contestable decisions like AppData folder access and others. On the other hand, Android OEMs are not innovating enough in Android Space like they used to do at one point. They are just focusing on UI changes and not features.
There is also Round Sync which is a fork of RCX, as RCX has been unmaintained for quite some time.
I have never been able to find any complete alternative to TickTick. It has some of the best features for Tasks management app, like Promo, Habits, Eisenhower matrix and more
This is honestly something Android should have years ago. But it’s never too late to get it. Should save ton of time for everyone involved and keep better user privacy
Plus almost for all media devices, there is really lack of custom ROMs.
