I have a CR48 from 2010 that is running arch linux, is slow but completely workable.

I love my kindles. I got the Kindle 3 Keyboard (dead battery and dead pixel), 1st gen Kindle Paperwhite (scratched screen, uneven lights), and Kindle Voyage (cracked screen, otherwise is perfect).
I don’t really mind its a closed system, I transfer my books via calibre anyways.

I have mix feeling about this, I have many English podcasts that I would love to recommend to my non-english speaking friends, so I feel very excited about this idea. But again, I felt the podcasters are being abused in someway with this.
For that use case, android can prove to be quite decent.

Still bit a noob, I am wondering if I should also install calibre through bottles (I imagine bottles sets up some sort of sandbox that only those installed through it can use its files).
