Yeah. We were there! Or close enough… It was a glorious week where everything lined up perfectly… Then we overshot and we are in this clusterfuck of nonsense.

Seems like some third-party hosting is in order to support any Rebellion Russians.
You will not get good sound and microphone quality over Bluetooth. The best you will get is “decent” mic quality and mono audio that is only good for voice OR “decent” stereo audio and no mic. Not both at the same time. Stick with 2.4GHz or wired and just get a usb hub.
Then you should know better.
I agree with you mostly, and thank you for giving such a passionate and important response.
The problem is not the people though. Placing the “blame” or responsibility on the victims of this invasive behaviour is not the correct conclusion. These settings are deliberately obfuscated and people are uneducated on privacy and how it relates to technology. This is not their fault. Life is far too complicated to place yet another burden on the individual who already has so much to think about. The change needs to come from the people, yes, but it is not the people who need to change.
Fucking hell, this was cold and I am a terrible person for laughing at it.
Of course they do.
I can certainly see that argument, but I’d counter that eventually the Musk bubble will pop and that day is coming like a freight train. Better to ditch him now while they can than suffer the cost of keeping him.
Of course it is.
we virtually never deploy our military domestically
Doesn’t sound like you’d need to if the cops are running around with that kind of fire power in their cars.
Sure, right after Left 4 Dead 3
Chiaki4Deck is amazing and added a lot for me. Don’t have to stop playing FF7:Rebirth when someone else wants the TV 😄 Just pause, switch over, and keep playing. PS Portal seems like a good idea until you realise your phone can do the same thing with your existing controller and a £10 attachment.
I did (pre steam deck) get Chiaki working on my homebrew switch. It was okay, but nowhere near as good as the deck is performance wise.
Edit: Word
There are laws!
My guess would be that it’s relatively quick for them to do and it allows them to bring the Witcher 3 back into the public eye whilst also getting some good will from the active community. Bet they announce another Witcher game release soon.
since many site owners are uncomfortable running mystery code on our servers
And yet Node.js exists and flourishes.
I trust they did their best.
I also trust that any sufficiently tech savvy individual will be able to bypass that system. It only takes one person to pull it off and then it’s public knowledge. Sure, they’ll fix it, and then someone will do it again.
Small companies can’t afford to take that risk and larger companies won’t want the hassle.
It’s a shame too. I liked Unity more than Unreal. Oh well.
Sorry, no archive link. Best I can do is a copy & paste.
Lyft said on Tuesday that it was introducing a feature that would help match female drivers with female passengers on its ride-hailing app, in an effort to improve safety and encourage more women to drive with the company.
The feature, Women+ Connect, will allow women and nonbinary riders and drivers to make being connecting with each other for trips a priority by toggling on a setting in the app. They could still be matched with men when no women or nonbinary people were available nearby.
There are a few options I guess. If enough people notice then there may be more money in being the company that respects privacy and just charges more for the car up front.
It might even encourage more people to buy used instead of new.
Or some people might just decide they don’t need a car.
Caring is the first step to actively doing something. The more people that know, the more that will care and the more people that will act. Gotta start somewhere.
Nooooo… Really?
I’m sure they will face swift and appropriate consequences.
