Given their religion
Definitely not an argument against a specific point, but a generalization against an entire population. Pretty much ad hominem on a large scale.
What a bigot with no actual argument. Begone now and thank you 😘

The setup seems quite beefy relative to anything I ever owned. I understand that my power bill will be more costly if I leave this running 24/7.
Compared to 4 RPi’s running 24/7, how much more energy do you suppose I’ll be expending?
I ask because my basic understanding of electrical engineering states that my system will only draw as much power as it needs (not the full rated 650W), so I’m not really sure how that compares to all 4 RPi’s running.
I’ve been looking all over for something in that price range, where did you find them for those prices?

The dev is a human being with life outside of developing this app and there is no arguing that. All I simply stated is that it fell behind in development when compared to many other apps.
Do not misconstrue my words.
My only problem with it is the developer disappeared for the longest time and it feels like it fell behind so many other apps.
And I’ll give you $10 for it

I don’t know about the EWaste part, I own a 2015 MacBook Pro and that thing is immortal! Still runs as smooth as the day I got it and it’s seen a lot of abuse.
Don’t know of many other brands that have this type of longevity. Out of the many laptops and PC’s that I owned, non lasted this long.
+1 for Void Linux
I have a crappy old laptop and I wanted to extend its life and usability by installing a resource light OS on it. I decided on Void Linux and proceeded to try it out in a VM on my MacBook before I installed it on the potato laptop.
I know I could emulate it using UTM but I figured that attempting a chroot installation would be a nice learning experience. I also haven’t seen much guides on it online — especially for aarch64 machines — and figured I could contribute and fill some of the void (pun not intended but very welcome).
Offering your opinion as an “actual argument with actual data” and a link to amnesty international does NOT constitute a coherent, well formed argument.
Reporting me with “uncivil comment” only shows your evasiveness to real discourse and that you will try to silence and put down anyone that disagrees with because you have no real argument to offer.
Good luck in the real world buddy, you’ll need it.
