Do computers catch fire?
Kingdoms and Castles would fit here. It’s been getting slow but steady updates for years.
Because the GBA never played Gameboy games, and the Wii never played GameCube games, and the Wii U never played Wii games, right?
From people that don’t use Reddit regularly, the only way they have ever heard about it is from Google results. So good luck with unloading a whole clip into your foot guys 🙄
“they can just patch the game and crank out new features as dlc” does not have the same meaning as “buy a fucking DLC to apply a performance patch”

Will it find a way to monetize and offset running costs, or will it not gain traction like the dozens before it?
Thank you for the thoughtful and kind reply :)
Forums, websites, and Github as mentioned in the OP. All those are publicly searchable and prime targets for takedown requests once they get big enough
As I got older I eventually found “my people”. Friends who I click with, who I share values and interests with, who communicate similarly to me.
As someone who struggles like OP, how did you find “your people?”
One big plus for Discord is that you can essentially lock it down to people who are interested in your project, instead of the entire public to browse. This hurts searching for answers, but helps immensely for projects that can be taken down like romhacks and speed running tools for example
I’ve never heard of Medium, so let me get this straight. You’re giving them content AND paying them? That’s like going to work and paying your boss.
If that’s true and you’re struggling to get food at the same time, there are some serious issues going on and you should reconsider what you spend your time and energy on
Are you really trying to compare a text/link service with ~10k users to a HD video service with millions of users?
How so? Servers aren’t free. Either you pay in cash or you pay in ads.
If the people you watch only upload to YouTube, how would they be available on other services?
To wit, someone else could log in with your username and people probably couldn’t tell the difference
In one second or less
Also remember: if you find yourself asking “is this a scam?” then it probably is!
When you close your eyes and they don’t open again
The whole reason RaPi got so big was its price point, because it offered so much capability that was essentially disposable in case the worst happened to your project. As long as it costs more than $35 I will not be interested.
Boy do I have good news for you!
