Same! Waiting for it not to cost 80$ Canadian… If it goes on sale for half, I’ll buy it I guess

So it’s a condensed version of Atlas Shrugged, maybe with a sprinkle of The Fountainhead?
Miraculously it kinda worked for the fall.
Laid off probably…
Thanks for taking the time to answer!
What’s the typical reaction to that? Bring honest like that doesn’t sound like a winning strategy, unless you pass it off as a joke maybe.
The only way to regulate my intake is not to buy them.
Miles Tek does that in the later books, IIRC. strap a lasgun to a shield generator, instant pseudo nuclear bomb.
Edit: I guess the difference is that they are dropping the whole package, not just the lasgun.
Wouldn’t it make sense to minimize that disadvantage then? There will always be people who have no other choice but rent, so they should be protected from exploitation. And stronger renter protection could cool down the housing market, because it makes being a landlord work multiple properties less attractive. Win-win if you ask me.
Renting by itself would be fine, it’s just that there’s barely any rent control in North America, and you’re constantly at the mercy of your landlord, inflation and general greed. Put national standards for renter protection and rent increases in place and this would be much less of a problem.
Been using Ubuntu for gaming for 99% of the time for half a year now. Basically no issues, most of my steam library works out of the box with proton. It’s very doable now, no need to wait.
I’ve run across the term biochar a few times recently, but didn’t think anything of it. Thanks for prompting me to look into it seriously!
Had a similar thought. Not necessarily bamboo, but whatever plant offers the best time to carbon captured ratio. Then stash it in old mines (salt mines ideally), and flood the mines for additional assurance that decomposition won’t happen. It doesn’t scale well, I think, because you’re dependent on the right conditions for storage, and creating storage places artificially doesn’t sound like it would be very effective.
Loved Revelation Space! Also check out Blindsight by Peter Watts, it’s similarly weird and imaginative (and I think you can find it for free on rifters.com, the authors Web site).
Bought a C$500 6750xt on Newegg a while ago, it still comes up for that price a lot.
The humans are going to train the UAVs.
I looked at the Ford Canada page - the smallest vehicle in the line up was the Mustang, most were trucks or should big SUVs. Then I looked at the Ford Switzerland page - lots of reasonable cars of all sizes, basically zero trucks.
They make them, they just don’t sell them here. It’s bullshit.
Penrose triangles are neat!
Technically yes?
Guess I’ll really have to work for being patient… Or I’ll just break down and buy it anyway at some point.
