1 year agoPretty hopeful. I’m in the process of setting up a server to try and host a few communities. Should get it online by the end of the month. I figure if as many people as possible just host a few communities (i.e. cherished Reddit subs that aren’t here yet) then we can save the major instances the pain of trying to host everything for everyone and take real advantage of building a truly robust decentralised network
Hit the mark on all 3. 🤷♂️ But in fairness the early days of Reddit was pretty similar.

Reddit has tried lots of things in Phase 2, including borrowing many techniques from Facebook, but they’re still fundamentally there.
