Makes sense, I was too young to remember most of it. Still, does his description not strike you as resembling what we see happening in the U.S. today?
STAND UP CANADA - FEB 28!
Canadians are preparing for a retail blackout on Feb 28th. For one day, show them we have the power by making absolutely no purchases from American retailers operating here, in Canada! Stand together! Stand strong! And spread the word!🍁
Makes sense, I was too young to remember most of it. Still, does his description not strike you as resembling what we see happening in the U.S. today?
He makes reference to it, but also speaks of some kind of opposition from “around the world” that was working on “expanding its sphere of influence”. He also described this thing as operating in secret, not out in the open. Was Russia operating secretly? (I don’t know much about the Cold War.)
Assuming he was telling the truth and he was right, it doesn’t sound like something that would have disappeared from the world any time soon. Which then makes me wonder if what he was referring to has anything to do with what’s happening today, cause there does seem to be a striking resemblance if we compare it to his description…?
Any guess as to what or who he was referring to specifically? Like, who is “they”?
From his wording, I’d think it probably did/does.
How do you know that? Seriously asking.
Is this you being honest or are you being ‘dramatic’ again? Rhetorical question.
Americans don’t care about our politics anywhere near as much as you do.
Maybe that’s the problem. Gotta say, as a Canadian, it really pisses me off to hear an American say this right now with everything that’s going on.
Surely you’ve gotta know what’s happening in the States right now is affecting everyone in the world.
In line with what you’re saying, I’ve been thinking that as fixated as we all are on Trump right now (and naturally so), whoever comes after him might be even worse.
I’ve said for years that the trouble in the Middle East was eventually going to come here, and here we are (and it’s just getting started). There are just certain immutable laws that are above man-made laws: One is that destruction always follows after pride, another is that we all reap what we sow. (Canadian here)
Not yet, but it seems to be growing.
I really hope you’re wrong, but think you’re probably right… that we’re going to keep seeing more of this.
I get what you’re saying… it’s overwhelming for us, and we’re in Canada… can’t imagine what it’s like for those of you who are right there and can see/understand what’s going on. The seeming lack of concern from some Americans makes perfect sense when you explain it that way. Thanks!
Maybe Bin’s plan will work now (even if he’s not around to see it), with how crazy Trump’s been acting? That’s actually a question.
Interesting. Thanks.
Hmm, you don’t sound very worried about it either… same as the other Americans I’ve asked. Like, unless I’m just not reading your tone right, I’m probably more worried about it than you are.
Why do you think it happened?
Looked at the article… it’s really discouraging the way some Americans support and seem to love this guy. With everything he’s doing, do you think he’s setting the country up for another major terrorist attack?
Ok, I didn’t know that. I was too young still to remember most of it.
