Where’s the antitrust suit when you need it, and how long before the the three mentioned companies start merging?
I consider email (and snail mail) a significantly more essential service than social media. Email service providers starting to block each other is much more likely to have a negative effect on my life than being disconnected from some friends, influencers or current news
I think it is because on Mastodon favorites don’t mean much besides showing some appreciation for the post. On the other hand, the Twitter algorithm would make posts with more likes more visible, but not as much as retweeting. So if you want to make a Mastodon post more visible you have to boost it
Funny that the first post I saw when sorting by Hot is a post asking what hot sorting is
Funding UNRWA is the primary factor perpetuating this conflict. I agree that aid should come, ideally from some neutral unbiased side, but funding UNRWA is the opposite of an investment in peace
