Cool to see. I might buy this game :)
Who goes there ?
Cool to see. I might buy this game :)
Great write up, thanks. I recently discovered BAR and I’m impressed how good it is. I shoud give Xonotic a try :)
Cheaters are a big problem in this game. To experience the cool parts of the game without all the bulshit, there is still SPT-AKI for playing solo and also the SIT mod for PvE multiplayer coop.
I just run proton 8 and switch to experimental or GE when troubleshooting a game that doesn’t work, which is rare.
Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I play via proton so autohotkey is not an option. I tried autokey which is a linux alternative but weirdly, while the key swaps worked on the desktop, it didn’t have an effect within the game for some reason. I’m sure there is some way it can be done but I couldn’t be bothered spending the time fixing it for this game which I don’t have much hope i’ll even like.
Yes! I tried it again this weekend because of this. After all this time, you still cannot rebind the keys of the building mode, which is ridiculous and makes this game difficult to enjoy for me.
I got the Flydigi Vader 3 and i’m very happy with it. The sticks are butter smooth. The buttons are very clicky.
Seconding this, FreeTube works quite well.
If you need the space back on the filesystem, you could rebuild the table with VACUUM FULL. Do note that the table would be unavailable during that process as it would be locked exclusively. https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/sql-vacuum.html
I don’t think so. I would like that as well.
Same, but I might switch to Boost for lemmy when it’s out.
Thanks for this very nice report.
Lemmy.world is still running version 0.17.4, that might explain your issues.
In case you didn’t know, you can also browse communities from https://browse.feddit.de/
If you just installed from lemmy-ansible, you must be running version 0.18 but a lot of big instances are still on 0.17.4. Do you also have this behavior when subscribing to communities hosted on 0.18 instances like lemmy.ml ? I found that federation is mostly broken from 0.18 to 17.4.
Yet somehow more expensive.
