There are a handful of options if you’re looking for a tweaked version of the YouTube app (no jailbreak needed) with enhanced options (blocking ads, skipping sponsored segments, allowing downloads, enabling PiP)

Keep in mind, if you have a paid Apple Dev account like myself you only have to load the app on your device once a year. But, if you have a free account you’ll need to do this weekly. That’s funny because my son compared CS2 on my MacBook Pro vs his RTX 3060 PC build we put together last winter and he said how much more responsive the game felt on the Mac.

Luckily it plays on Apple Silicon Macs beautifully through CrossOver. In the MacGaming sub users are getting 100+fps.

Yes it’s listed as Thunderbolt but the iPad Pro with USB-C (not Thunderbolt) can drive the Studio Display without issue.

Yes, also wefwef has been having a lot of issues specifically with lemmy.world. I have accounts on three other Lemmy instances and have only had issues there.

Things have gotten significantly better over the past day though. Looks like that big lemmy.world update pushed this morning has helped quite a bit.

I’ve also seen others hopping on other instances of wefwef out there.
