Two German states are about to attempt introducing a law at the federal level banning all knives with blades longer then 6cm (~~1.5~2.3 in) from beeing carried in publicin public.
Source in german: https://www.swr.de/swraktuell/rheinland-pfalz/messer-verbot-gesetz-bundesrat-rlp-100.html
This one was not passed yet.
The vote was pulled in the last minute, because they didn’t expect to get the required qualified majority. This was among other things due to the German governmant announcing to vote against it.
Germany is about to have an election next year though and the conservative and faschist parties are expected to win, I doubt they would be holding this position. France is also having an election soon with the faschists expected to win big. And their current government is responsible for this law not beeing even worse.
TLDR: It didn’t pass yet, but this will not be the last attempt at passing it.
I do recall a giant “Werbung” screen ahead of all a-blocs on TV.
Do you know how copyshops work?
Fair, but I don’t see how that quote implies this role to be unintentional, which seems to be the main poit in your original comment to me.
This is about a poll conducted by a piblic brodcaster, your comment makes no sense in this context.
Those are urls, sobdomains are socker.piratesite.com and games.piraresite.com .
Thanks, I didn’t know this was an option :D.
Yeah, but is there a way to download flatpacks for an Install at another time?
I wanna be able to install it at a later point in time (for example when I reinstall my system)
Their git hub is gone
Anyone know where to get the most recent linux build as a .deb? I wanna have an installer in case I have to wipe my os or something like that.
I was kind of dissapointed when I read the new pipe team was having an issue with sponsor block, but tbh their reasoning makes a lot of sense:
https://newpipe.net/blog/pinned/newpipe-and-online-advertising/
And even thought I am using the sponsor block fork now I only skip the non-music part in music videos, because I do agree that creators have to make money somehow. And while I don’t love ads most of the time (sometimes they are really well made) my main issue with ads on Youtube/the wider Internet is how intrusive they are and them not respecting my privacy.
works on the newpipe fork as well
palestinians yes, Hamas not.
I totally agree that christians (or any religion/religion-like structure) can be and in the case of Christianity often is just as bad.
it’s responding to someone claiming islam is worse that’s not how I read the comment. I read it as in this case it would make sense to assume the attackers were muslims. My response was intended to say that in this exact case that would probably be a reasonable assumption.
I want to make it clear that I do not think that it is generally significantly more likely for the islam faith to cause queerphobia than it would be for any other one. It is just that in this particular region (Berlin-Neukölln) and demographic (young men) that would be the most likely perputrators.
yes but if you read the article linked in the reddit theread anouther comment mentioned this was in Berlin-Neukölln, which is predominantly muslim and known to have issues with (esp. young men/boys) radicals opposing queer people.
not really. In an ideal democracy you could simply vote those people out in the next election . In a well working democracy there is only so much they can do before they are not reelected.
The difference to NGOs is that in a democracy one person (ideally) has exactly one vote while your influence on non profits -especially when you are wealthy enought to afford your own- is mkreso connected to what you (can) donate, so how wealthy you are. In my opinion that makes relying on government more egalitarian whereas a system built on charities is more seceptable to oligarchigal structures.
(I understand that in many places Governments are (very) currupt or not democratic to begin with and there are many NGOs that are democratic (or meybe just plain better for the interests of the people) compared to those governments. And in those cases these NGOs are -for now- obviously better then the government. But imo with a stable democracy the government is a fairer morer stable and more equal solution.
Afaik the (sole) admin is inactive so the website wasn’t fixed when it went down.
