Banned open source software because of security concerns. For password management they require LastPass or that we write them down in a book that we keep on ourselves at all times. Worth noting that this policy change was a few months ago. After the giant breach.
And for extra absurdity: MFA via SMS only.
I wish I was making this up.
Hold on, what? I thought Nikola ended after their giant fraud?
Most of it is perfectly reasonable.
IP: Simplest identifier for smurf accounts, also very ineffective since you can just reset router. But public info anyway.
Game identifier: Obviously
Hardware dev info: More effective identifier for smurf accounts and more effective form of banning (and decent way to check if you’re in a VM, depending how hardened it is)
OS info: Different OS’s require different functions
Game and system files: Don’t agree with this one unless you’re incredibly deep into e-sports (professional). For casuals, checking game files: Fine. Checking system files: Fuck off.
Running processes: Checking for running non-hidden cheats
File names: Not quite sure what they mean here
The text at the bottom also states that it only collects this if it detects potential for cheats, which obviously is going to include false positives, but it isn’t constantly mining the data like other ACs.
BattlEye isn’t the greatest AC so should be fine anyway.
All hail GrapheneOS
I caught it a couple months ago. It absolutely sucked.
Or, knowing Spotify, they will just do it anyway and just quietly increase their cut.
Bigger audience sure, but I’d imagine there’s a fee for the translation as well, or some other catch.
Not in details view and light theme, obviously.

Pay fairly

Xtract Ze Vucking File!
Sequential order just means downloads files in sequential orders, you can’t for instance watch a 2 hour Linux ISO documentary until the file is downloaded.
There is a plugin for VLC which does allow this though, but I don’t remember the name of it. No need for external torrent software, just plop a magnet link in VLC, or a torrent file, and it’ll start streaming the legal Linux ISO documentary.
Only thing I can’t do is use McDonald’s app because apparently they take security more serious than every bank app.
X11 because KDE cut some features for Wayland (some that will be cut in Plasma 6 X11 too, yay) and some apps just don’t support wayland for technical reasons.
There are 2 clipboards:Ctrl+C/V and select text + middle mouse.
The latter only has one spot but can be used together with the “traditional” one by first copying using ctrl+c then just selecting the other bit of text.
But just a little bit ;)
That’s funny, that’s the reason I ditched Windows completely. The workflow is just so bad on it.
Metal predates Vulkan.
