What kind of generalisation are you trying to point out?
What kind of generalisation are you trying to point out?
Thats not medieval, thats everywhere exept the US of A.
Where I live, apprenticeships are officially regulated and for many proffessions you are not allowed to open a business without proper qualification.
I drink all kinds of different tea. At the moment I often drink Keiko Matcha and lots of really beautiful green tea my friend sent me from Taiwan. I love to coldbrew green tea in summer. Greek mountain tea my parents bring me from crete. I also buy fresh mint to make tea from some of the fresh leaves and to dry the rest.
Besides that my favorite brand is The English Teashop in all forms it comes in and Cupper/Clipper.
Tea is simpler in preparation
Since I started drinking matcha, I disagree.
In my childhood teas were all named with colours. Mostly black, red and green. Green being mint and red fruity teas.
I recently discovered cold brew coffee for myself (bought a cold brew jug on a whim at TJmaxx as one does) and I love how the coffee just doesn’t have any bitterness anymore. The slow stewing in cold water really pulls out the flavour without the acidity.
I don’t think that is a general rule. Many people drink only black tea in the morning.
I never understood why it has to be one or the other.
Sometimes I prefer coffee, sometimes some green tea in the morning, sometimes a cup of matcha if I’m feeling fancy. A cup of lavender tea with honey in the evening can be pure bliss, but an Italian affogado (espresso with vanilla icecream) in the afternoon can also be really perfect.
Btw it is also possible to like cats AND dogs.
Has any of you guys commenting even thought that they live in an overly dangerous place and she was genuinely scared?
Of course, waking him in the middle of the night was over the top and maybe a red flag, but anxiety can do that to you.
What would you do if the CCTV on our street is broken by chance?
Who has CCTV in a residential street, that isn’t dangerous to walk through? Nowhere where I live, but I’ve been to some sketchy parts of Manila for example where my local friends would freak out at the thought of walking home from the corner alone. (“Oh my god, do you have a death wish? You can’t let them drop you anywhere that isnt directly your actual door! Someone will kidnap or kill you!”)
I think her behaviour was somewhat understandable if she was genuinely scared and felt let down by him because he seemingly didn’t care for her safety.
We all act irrational sometimes when we are scared, that doesn’t mean everyone has a personality disorder or someone even suggested schizophrenia. Seriously people! Cut others some slack for some irrational emotions every now and then.
OP, tell your girlfriend that you love her and care about her and that you’ll make an effort to be more thoughtful of her safety and her fears in the future. Because this just might be it. She felt unsafe and that you didn’t care if something happens to her. She probably had these thoughts on a loop in her head since she got home.
If you are into foreign films please look into german director Caroline Link.
She won an Oscar for foreign film with Nowhere in Africa , about the life of german-jewish writer Stefanie Zweig, who emigrated with her parents to Kenya under threat of Nazi Germany.
But my personal all time favorite movie is Beyond Silence about a hearing daughter of deaf parents who goes on and becomes a musician.
I’m german myself and generally consider german cinema an expensive form of torture with the great exception of Caroline Link.
It’s really worth it. It has a great story, that is based on true events, fantastic actors (John David Washington and Adam Driver) and a great director (Spike Lee).
A masterpiece.
Additional question. If the Vice President takes over and becomes President, do they finish the full term or are they just interim president until a new election can take place?
I use my smartphone to keep my book open when reading at a table. It does a pretty good job there.
Don’t limit yourself to technical uses.
These films are meant to be a fantasy escape from real life. They are not meant to be realistic or to show any real struggle. They are supposed to show you a beautiful dream world including the big and real love and an otherwise carefree life.
I’m confused. So this is a study that shows that significant less content on reddit is bots and trolls than it seems? Like ONLY 15%?
I feel like 15% would have been a realistic number a few years ago, but nowadays you have a hard time comunicating with a real human. A bit like online customer service.
Helpful. Im glad you had something meaningful to contribute to the discussion.
Maybe it helps with understanding when you think of examples of female rape that isn’t a stranger beating up a woman in a dark alley.
Like Harvey Weinstein. Countless women have come forward about rape and sexual violence from him. I doubt he always used physical violence on these women. But he was this all powerful person in the filmindustry who could and would destroy lives and careers with a wave of his hand if you’d deny him.
Very often rape and sexual violence comes out of a power dynamic where the victim (no matter the gender) feels they don’t have a choice. Physical violence does not have to be involved.
I listened to Dubliners by James Joyce narrated by irish actor Andrew Scott (Moriarty in Sherlock) and it was hands down the best narration I’ve ever heard.
