I’m getting major fall guy vibes. He’s gonna be the lightning rod for all criticism, be replaced with someone else, keep a cushy sinecure at Reddit and things will continue as they would.
Yeah the problem I have is when ppl say climate change doesn’t exist because today is moderate, meanwhile they ignore the droughts and floods elsewhere. I’m happy for our farmers and our rivers but next year could be completely different.
In Germany it’s colder and wetter than usual while in southern Europe they’re boiling. Crazy weather.

I feel for the mods, both here and on Reddit. Disrespected by both users and admins, but doing the important work even if sometimes they come across as power-hungry or capricious.
Reddit can suck it, I’m not going back.
I might be alone, but I don’t want or need a huge amount of users. I’d rather discuss the subjects I want to talk about with a smaller group of users. It would be nice to have some familiarity in the comments as well. On the big subreddits, your comment was practically guaranteed to be lost in the sea of thousands of comments unless you were the first to comment, or had bots upvoting you. If I want my comments to be lost, I’ll comment on a Tiktok video.
Try going to your user profile on reddit and see if anything appears. If it doesn’t, then the posts have been deleted.

You’re thinking too short-term. A central business district doesn’t have to be like we see it in the US. It can be vibrant and filled with cafés and restaurants and parks as well that give it life in the evenings and weekends.
