The goal of the protests for Palestine is to overcome imperialism and colonialism as a whole. The movement won’t stop when Palestine is free but only when everyone is free.

That we don’t see the same reaction for the people of Sudan is part of the problem, not a reason to delegitimize the pro-Palestine movement.

Even when you’re not a Muslim you can easily acknowledge that genocide against Muslims is as bad as against anyone else. And if you ask Muslims on the question of genocide against anyone I’m sure the answer wouldn’t differ to genocide against Muslims, because it’s such a natural thing to oppose genocide.

Tbh we have a large Muslim population in Germany but we don’t miss out on any opportunity to shit on them in any European country with large Muslim migrant population. We don’t really treat them as equals in a sense that their voices are usually ignored and they are being patronized as you could see with issues like female athletes from France not being allowed to use their right of religious freedom (hijab ban).

The protests are not against the war though. They are against the government not bringing back the hostages and against the inconveniences of not being able to return to home. If the government can manage to commit genocide on Palestinians without any inconveniences to the Jewish Israeli citizens then most of them would be fine with that.

This isn’t a faulty system, the soldiers are behaving exactly as they’re expected to behave. After all, the goal is a completed genocide.

I tried googling this further because Human Rights Watch also doesn’t say where they have this information from. But pretty much everything I can find is some IDF sources, a Times of Israel article and a medium blogpost.

Gaza has never been anything like „an independent Palestinian state“ it’s been an open air prison ever since Israel withdrew their settlers. Hamas sucks but they are not the problem, the problem is that Zionists want all of Palestine without Palestinians.

Not that Hamas are great guys or anything but they have changed their charta and have agreed to a 2 state solution. They are more moderate than the Israeli government although that isn’t particularly challenging. Can you explain what exactly is Hamas‘ propaganda and why you believe that it has any relevance right now? Hamas is only influential in the Gaza Strip where the population right now is busy surviving a genocide. In the West Bank and in diaspora, Hamas is basically irrelevant.

That being said I also want Israel to be wiped off from existence because a settler colonial apartheid state that commits genocide shouldn’t exist. There should be a democratic state instead that gives everyone equal rights and also respects the Palestinian right of return.

Right now, Hamas agrees to a 2 state solution, which would be a start. Right now, the Israelis have decided that they oppose such a solution. Israelis want all of Palestine without the Palestinians. The USA, UK & Germany are providing rhetorical and political support for this policy. That needs to change before any armed resistance becomes unnecessary.

Yeah I think this is very troubling and counterproductive. The article says the guy was recently discharged from the IDF. Which for a Palestinian is weird because they don’t have to join the army, so I’m assuming he’s a Zionist. That being said, a Jew would get killed for being Jewish by these people and an Arab could apparently get away with being a Zionist. So this whole thing is just pointless violence/antisemitism.

I think English is still the most obvious choice as most people speak it as a second language. In fact I would want that EU wide kids learn English from grade 1 on and ideally we’d be all bilingual in a couple decades.
