Gentoo gaming and music production rig working through mostly tty with dwm as a graphical display. I typically stay on tty until I want to play a game, use modern web, or record a song. Otherwise tty with Links browser.

Hulu? I use ublock on hulu and have no issues.
Nice. I’ve been linux daw shopping as of late. My girlfriend’s computer died so I let her borrow my music laptop, which is my only windows machine. So, I haven’t done much lately. I’ll have to look into this.
I got to the drive in from time to time. Watching the meg 2 in my car with a hotdog and Pepsi from the stand beat sitting in a glorified strangers livingroom. Even if the movie was confusingly terrible.
I donate to Gentoo every once in a while so I don’t have to live this life.
The French situation just gave me more reasons to dislike Sartre.
Every single I’ve seen something horrible from a fedi site, it’s been on lemmy. I would block all of lemmy, but then my feed would be dry. I’ve seen much worse things here in a few months than I did for the on and off years on reddit. I honestly might just quit kbin and fediverse sites all together, I’ve already stopped recommending it to people. There is a servere lack of moderation and a large attraction to certain types of people to populate here. I see this going similar to voat, just harshly left rather than harshly right.
Ow my head
I can’t turn on the lights, i forgot my password
I got mine yesterday, which was great cause then I could play deep rock while gentoo compiled stuff.
Btw for other gentoo users, you probably know this already but emerge -avuDN && poweroff
A coworker of mine was an computer engineer in the early 2000s, but is now a warehouse director. She told me she helped her son build a new pc but it was having heating issues. I asked about fans and she said it only had 2 intake on the front with no exhaust. Told her a local shop that has cheaply priced good fans. She said computers have changed a lot in 20 years. I helped in about a week ago with choosing storage blocks, had no clue nvme even existed.
Anytime someone asks if this game is worth it, I always tell them it’s a good game if all you want is a game where you are a cyborg and can shoot guys in cool ways. The story sucks and the world is shallow, but I usually have fun using hacks and body weapons to fight people. I got it for 20 bucks and feel like that was about as much as it’s worth.
I hate all these bastards. That’s why I only use gentoo and play games I find in thrift stores and google drive folders.
I never was an xbox guy, so talking about them is confusing because of the naming scheme. They lost me after the 360.
I was using Firefox then swapped to mull. Both are good, i just figured I’d try something different and saw mull on fdroid.
I have a Kraftwerk sticker on my coffee thermos. A guy at work asked what it was, I said it was an influential electronic band from the 70s/80s. He said, “oh. So people actually listen to techno? It’s not a joke?” I said, “yeah, I guess so.”
Switching to Gentoo has been the best. If I don’t want something I just blacklist it in my make.conf. getting errors from an odd package? Blacklist. Don’t want systemd or gnome software? Blacklist. It’s great. My shit runs insanely fast and my system only breaks when I explicitly do something stupid, and it’s usually just one minor adjustment away from getting fixed.
I’ve been using Qobuz. Sure it’s still paid, but I can buy downloads for any of the music on there. Same with Bandcamp. I’ve been buying one album every paycheck and putting them on my storage blocks, then putting them on my media player and phone. I support my favorite bands, and get to keep something in return. On top of all this, I hunt down CDs. I’ve got a massive physical music collection, and it’s nice.
Hit up the lawyer gym.
I deal with the same thing. I had written for several small publications, and one way I overcame my disconnect from emotion was just by stream of conscious describe things. The way I’m subconsciously describing it tends to reveal my feelings for it. Directly, i really feel nothing for it but under the layers I do have a sense of emotion for it.
