Pretty much when I bought my house it’s been mostly grown-up feeling since then. Interest rates, insurance rates, and debt-service ratios are always in the back of my mind now.
Once I pay off my vehicle debt I’ll be able to bankroll a better house outside of town with some land. Assuming shit doesn’t go pear shaped in the next 3-4 years…
Also, playing the “should I dump my bonuses into my RRSP or pay down debt” game… never had medium or longer term goals before.
I use VBox to run my PiHole for now and have used it to play with a couple distros side by side. I also have a sup’d up tower built from spare parts from work, so resources aren’t a constraint.
I preemptively apologized for this a few weeks ago, but didn’t call it being the West’s fault. As stated before though, the states around and further south of Ontario and Quebec should brace themselves. It was a warm winter with nowhere near the proper amount of snow, so I expect a dry AF summer for us.
Not even bothering to get a fire permit this year, didn’t get to use it last year.
I got a 3M half mask with bayonet connectors, I’m good for round two!
Imagine they went with something Conservative Ultra Managers or something else even more insane…
Have they fixed enterprise sso yet?
Closed captions: [John Wick]: subtle whisper I wouldn’t…
100% but 3840x2160 and small taskbar icons?
I had something like this one. It was the ram. If I powered off, shut off the PSU and unplugged, then reseated the ram and tried again it would come on. Upgraded the ram and the issue went away.
Also, if you encounter this with a Dell laptop, same thing (just make sure to disconnect the battery before touching the ram).
I work in IT and right now it’s a group of CCTV IP cameras that have a patterned flicker at certain times of the day but on random days. I’m pretty sure I’ve boiled it down to either a heavy power draw from other equipment or the shitty segregated network they’re on. I’m in the middle of desegregation and network uplift and the pool is shrinking so I might have it figured out finally but it’s been months still hella random.
You’re on to something here… Currently the only talents I know of are replication via ooze and shape shifting.
If it’s that pictures of my ball sack will earn me more than my current job, I’ll need to go back in time and tell me how sooner!
When we do it right, you forget we’re here and we’re ok with that.
Thanks, I get quietly called brave a lot for it at the beach!
This is terrifying. Thank fuck I’m not in the US. I already get anxious when some random knocks on my door. If they started spouting off about praying for me and my family I’d be weirded right the fuck out.
Granted, I love my physical privacy. I generally don’t answer the door to plain cloths unless I’m expecting someone. My 5 year goal is to move outside of my current town and have no neighbours. Preferably with a nice long driveway that I may install a gate on at the road.
iPhone SE - work phone provided by work. No idea why iPhone vs Android other than general uniformity and maybe security. I do have the choice of Android or iPhone for my next one, so who knows. Really tempted to go for Pixel Pro because I’m still not used to the differences in navigation a year and a half later. I fuckin hate my work phone. It doesn’t help that my personal is a Pixel 5 and I use the shit out of the back sensor, gonna miss that when this dies.
Apple AirPods Pro - these were a gift when I visited a sister site and they’re awesome. They were better before whatever firmware update happened that forced them to Adaptive Audio or Transparent though. Kind of annoying, but still awesome for being free.
No, this is Patrick
