I think you’re really overestimating how popular Tim Hortons is amongst Canadians. 15 years ago that’d be true but the entire chain slid downhill and their public perception is pretty shit. We don’t have the same attachment to the brand anymore, especially considering is no longer a Canadian company.

If it’s anything like Starbucks it will go through phases of populatiry while at the same time encroaching even more places far and wide.
I dunno macs has better coffee though. The food is better at Tim’s but more expensive. The soups and sandwiches are usually pretty good.
