Alright, fuck the Usubas and everything they stand for. They’re no different than the Saimoris. They didn’t care at all about Mio and were content to let her suffer until they realized she had powers. Then they’re all, “oh we care so much and need her in our house.”

Thank goodness Kudo’s sister talked some sense into him, although hearing that he went back to work definitely isn’t going to help Mio’s mental state.

And that duel was really cool, definitely wasn’t expecting anything like that to be in this show when I first started watching. Can’t wait for next week.

I thought the end of the duel was set up pretty well. We, the viewer, see Miyo earlier wanting to rush out, but is held back. Then, as the fight is about to reach its conclusion she does (appear to) rush in. When the sound of the gun went off, I fully believed it because we were already primed to expect her to rush in. The illusion was super effective (at least on me and Kudo).

Well that was a frustrating watch… It makes sense but It’s still always annoying to see how little self worth Miyo has, she didn’t even think about how fucked up it was that her family let her get abused all those years and only cared once they discovered she has abilities, thankfully Kudo and his sister realized how cruel that was.

Also Miyo not being able speak for herself and Kudo not giving her opportunity to do so even though his intentions are kind is something that’s been shown multiple times now, I hope it’s leading to something.

This episode made me super angry with everyone. After 2-3 fillerish episodes, the action finally starts, and things go to shit for Miyo again. Kudo not listening to her. The trash Usaba family that let her suffer for her entire life all of a sudden showing up like you’re dad’s 3rd cousin after you won the lottery. Them stating “we can totally teach her to fix the nightmares, but we’re not going to” and deciding things with a duel. Just overall a very frustrating episode.

I feel like her mom sealed her power to hide her from the trash family because she knew what they were like. I doubt she planned on dying, so she figured she’d be there to unseal the powers and help Miyo learn to use them when she was ready. Just tragedy that she ended up not being there, and the family she ran away from got their claws on Miyo anyway.
