I’ve read 4 books over the last couple of weeks. It’s been great!

The Last Voyage of the Demeter - was an interesting take on the old Dracula legend. The movie had great atmosphere and some solid performances.
You have a great way with words
I only use Facebook for local community info as I can’t get that anywhere else. My fake profile works wonderful for that.
And suddenly everyone was born on Jan 1st, 2000
It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I just can’t look away!
Good luck getting a boomer to setup their own domain. Hell, I’m GenX and I wouldn’t know how to.
For sure. Gen X here. I was in IT during the wild west days (90s) and it was glorious!
Yep, I was in IT from 95 to 2013. Today’s tech is much more confusing
I have been trying to work on my attention span ever since quitting Reddit. There’s this great book I’m reading, it has everything in it that I love, I would have been pulled in if this was 20 years ago (yeah, I’m old). But I find I can only handle about 5 minutes or so before I feel that urge for “fresh” information. It sucks!
That is just mind blowing!
It’s very much a nerd/geek environment at the moment. There isn’t much for normies to look at…yet.
Bodies Bodies Bodies was surprisingly good
I was in my early 20s when BG1, BG2, NWN, and Icewind Dale came out. The hype was real, and it was a spectacular time in gaming.
I left because of how they treated third party apps devs, Reddit mods, and users. Total disregard and disrespect. Which left me feeling the same.
It’s the whole ritual that makes it so special. How about a tea ceremony?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned is that you need money to make money.
I will always upvote Blake’s 7!
There is a super active niche subreddit that I miss terribly. There is a Lemmy alternative with 3 subscribers only and a post every 5 days or so. I would love to see it active but me posting there feels the same as just screaming into the void. I know that to grow it I need to be active on it but if I’m the only one there then what is the point? I also don’t want to go to the subreddit and say “hey, check out Lemmy” cause it feels I’ll be sending them to a graveyard for that particular topic.
Always had a soft spot for Impostor (2001) with Gary Sinise based on Philip K Dick’s short story. It never is mentioned very much
